නාලන්දා විද්‍යාලයේ අභිමානවත් 100 වැනි ශත සංවත්සර සැමරුමට සමගාමීව ආදී නාලන්දීය ක්‍රීඩා සමාජය (Old Nalandians' Sports Club) විසින් සංවිධානය කළ ජූනි මස 24 වන දින නාලන්දා විද්‍යාලීය මලලසේකරේ රඟහලේ පැවති "නාලන්දා ශත වර්ෂයේ ක්‍රීඩා විශිෂ්ඨයින් ඇගයිමේ උලෙළ" පිලිබඳව සජීවි වැඩසටහන.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a true visionary and one of our most distinguished alumni, Prof. Pathmajeewa Ganepola.

A world-renowned neurosurgeon affiliated with Columbia University, Prof. Ganepola’s brilliance knew no borders. He was a pioneer in every sense, making history as the first foreign student to graduate from Kyoto University and the first Sri Lankan physician honored by the American College of Surgeons.

Beyond his monumental achievements in medicine, he was a trailblazer who looked to the skies. As the first person in Sri Lanka to launch a solid fuel rocket, his boundless curiosity laid a foundation for future generations of rocketry and astronomy enthusiasts. He remains the eternal inspiration behind our "Interstellar" All-Island Quiz Competition, where his name lives on through the Prof. Padmajeewa Ganepola Challenge Trophy.

Honored with the prestigious Nalanda Keerthi Sri award in 2010, he was more than an alumnus; he was a guiding light to us all. His immense legacy of excellence, exploration, and dedication will continue to fuel our journeys forward.

May he attain the supreme bliss of Nibbana! 🙏

මහනුවර ත්‍රිත්ව විද්‍යාලය සංවිධානය කළ 'Aspice Sidera '26 අන්තර් පාසල් තාරකා විද්‍යා දැනුම මිනුම තරගාවලියේ සමස්ත ශූරතාවය දිනා ගැනීමට නාලන්දා විද්‍යාලීය තාරකා විද්‍යා කණ්ඩායම සමත්විය.
