We are proud to announce that Mr Pasindu Malawana, an undergraduate from the Faculty of Management and Finance, won a Silver Medal in the Sn**ch event in the under 79kg category at the Samoa IBFC Universal Weightlifting Cup 2026, held in Apia, Samoa, from April 27 to May 1, 2026. This prestigious competition brought together over 500 athletes from around the world, making it one of the largest weightlifting events ever held in the Oceania region. Mr Pasindu’s outstanding performance is a testament to his dedication, strength, and commitment to excellence. This remarkable achievement brings great pride to both the university and Sri Lanka.
