Historically founded in 1952 as a collage of a few Old Boys and revived from time to time, with the latest being in the year of 2012, under the name St. Aloysius’ Collage Ratnapura old boys Colombo branch with a popular acronym SACOBA. The principal aim of SACOBA is to maintain a healthy and strong relationship between the college and the old boys to foster the continuity of age-old traditions, an
d customs and provide networking opportunities through reunions, social functions, and fellowships. The students, after completing their school carrier continue their journey voluntarily through SACOBA as Gem City Old Boys of St. Aloysius Collage, to enhance their carrier opportunities by understudying the expertise of their senior counterparts who are said to possess much experience and expertise in highly accoladed professions, such as Medical, Engineering, Legal, Accounting, Banking, Marketing, Information technology, Architectural, and business entrepreneurship, etc. This group also assists the college in hosting a number of events across the school calendar to support and connect old boys & their families, principals, Teachers, non-academic staff, and current students. The college is extremely proud of our old boys, many of whom feature prominently in many fields of endeavor in Ratnapura, Colombo, and overseas.
