Had an intense and highly engaging Six Sigma – DEFINE phase simulation with the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt participants at Aitken Spence.

The simulation challenged experienced practitioners to step away from assumptions and solutions, and instead sharpen their focus on problem clarity, business impact, and customer alignment. From crafting precise problem statements to translating Voice of the Customer (VoC) into measurable CTQs, the depth of discussion reflected true Black Belt thinking.

What stood out most was the ability of the participants to question, debate, and align—demonstrating that even at an advanced level, disciplined problem definition remains the foundation of successful DMAIC projects.
