⭕ Behind every great school stand dedicated teachers who dared to believe in a dream.❤️ As we prepare to celebrate our Jubilee, we gratefully honour the first four teachers who accepted the challenge of building St. Anne's English Medium College from its very beginning. 🌸Their faith, commitment and sacrifice laid the foundation upon which generations of students have learned, grown and flourished.🌸

⭕ Today, we remember with deep respect Late Ms. Rita Fernando, one of these pioneering teachers whose invaluable contribution continues to live on in the life of our school. We also express our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. D Jenita Jayasuriya, one of our founding teachers, who continues to serve with unwavering dedication as our Directress and Administrative Coordinator. ♥️Together, they remind us that great institutions are built not merely by bricks and mortar, but by dedicated hearts, faithful service and an enduring vision.🌸♥️

⭕️ Every great institution has a humble beginning. Ours began with just four precious children and a dream that seemed far bigger than our circumstances.💞

⭕️ We did not see only four students - we saw four lives entrusted to our care, four futures waiting to be shaped and the first chapter of a story that God would faithfully write over the years.🫶🏻

⭕️ As we prepare to celebrate our Jubilee, we remember these four little pioneers with gratitude. They remind us that extraordinary journeys often begin with the smallest of beginnings, when vision, faith, love and perseverance come together♥️

⭕ Our little KG 1 students happily completed their Mathematics and English Assessment through Play Activity-Based Learning (PAbL). Through fun activities, they explored letters, words, numbers, counting, matching, reading, and problem-solving while learning with confidence and joy.🔢🔤

🎨 Every child is an artist, and every masterpiece begins with imagination. 🌈

⭕ Our little Play Group learners successfully completed their Art & Craft Assessment through Play Activity-Based Learning (PAbL). Each activity encouraged them to explore colours, experiment with different materials, and express their creativity with confidence. Through play, they strengthened their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, imagination, and self-expression in a joyful and meaningful way.

⭕ ✨ Every child created something special, and every creation reflected a unique imagination.

✨Jubilee Countdown - Week 09✨

⭕ Milestones Achieved Through the Years [Part - 06]

⭕ ELUC [English Language Users' Circle] was established with the aim of helping both preschool children and students of the main school improve their use of the English language.📚❤️ The members of the circle served as language animators encouraging their fellow students to use English confidently and comfortably before introducing them to its grammar and structure. The first ELUC Badge Investiture Ceremony was held on 5 June 2013 under the patronage of Rev. Bro. Benedict Wijesuriya, FMS.🤍

⭕ In the years that followed, the circle evolved into a broader movement embracing almost the entire student population under its revised name, EON Circle, where EON stands for English Only Now.⭐

⭕ Today, this initiative has grown into a well-established culture among both students and teachers. Its significance is reflected in SEL-C [Speak English, Lead the Change], the annual theme for 2026, the foundational year of our Five-year Development Plan [2026 - 2030]. 🏅As part of this initiative, SEL-C Prefects actively promote the English-speaking campaign throughout the school premises.❤️

⭕ More recently, the SEL-C Core Team of the college network organized a series of language competitions titled the Profound Language Users' [PLU] Competitions. 🥳The event was successfully held at the Regional Branch School, Kuliyapitiya, with the support of a distinguished panel of judges comprising lecturers from the Department of English, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka.❤️
