𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗔𝗜 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 & 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗟!

The GenAI Awareness & Practical Skills Workshop for Operational & Administrative Staff, organized in conjunction with ICARC 2026 at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, was successfully conducted on the 18th and 19th of February 2026.

This two-day workshop provided administrative and operational staff members with practical Generative AI skills, enhancing workplace productivity and promoting responsible AI use. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants, facilitators, and supporters who made this initiative a success.

𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗖 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀!

The technical sessions of ICARC 2026, conducted on 18th and 19th February 2026, provided an engaging platform for the presentation of significant research contributions by both local and international authors. These sessions brought together researchers, academics, and industry professionals to share knowledge and discuss emerging developments in the field of computing and the presentations were organized under eight key tracks.

Complementing the research presentations were insightful plenary discussions and panel sessions, where distinguished experts and panel members offered their perspectives on current challenges and future opportunities in the computing domain. These intellectually stimulating interactions provided valuable guidance to participants while encouraging innovation, collaboration, and critical thinking within the global research community.

The Inauguration Ceremony of the 6th International Conference on Advanced Research in Computing (ICARC 2026), hosted by the Faculty of Computing at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, was successfully concluded on 18th February 2026.

The event brought together scholars, researchers, industry leaders, and students from around the world, making it a truly inspiring and impactful gathering in the field of computing. With the theme “Responsible AGI: Balancing Intelligence, Responsibility, and Sustainability”, the conference highlighted important discussions shaping the future of advanced computing research.
