The first inaugural meeting and orientation for students, for the purpose of newly establishing the St. John Ambulance Brigade at Eravur Tamil Maha Vidyalayam, Batticaloa, District Commissioner Mr.S.Stephen As per sir's orders was conducted on 23.09.2026, at Eravur Tamil Maha Vidyalayam by the Sup Divisional Officer of St. John Ambulance Brigade, Mr. Navaratnarajah Chentheepan.

In this event, the School Principal Mr. M. Manokaran, Vice Principal Mrs. Niranjani Jegatheeswaran, Teachers-in-charge of the St. John Ambulance Brigade Mr. Rajenthiram Rakshan, Mrs. Vathani Nithiyananthan, and the newly joined cadet students participated.

ST. JOHN AMBULANCE AND BRIGADE.
BATTICALOA

The First ever Certificate Awarding Ceremony for the St. John Ambulance Brigade Student Cadets of *BT/KK / Chenkalady Vivekananda Vidyalayam* was held successfully on *Saturday, 08.08.2026*, under the leadership of the School’s Teacher-in-Charge, *Mr. N. Chentheepan, Divisional Officer*.

Certificates were presented to the students who participated in the First Aid Training Camp and successfully completed their "Passing Out" in an excellent manner.

The event was graced by the presence of the following chief guests:
Mr. Nesakajenthiran, Deputy Director of Education, Kalkudah Education Zone
Mr. S. Stephen, Additional district Commissioner, St. John Ambulance and Brigade, Batticaloa District
Mr. K. Chandrakumar, Principal of the School

They delivered inspiring and constructive speeches that motivated the students.
The participation of the school teachers also added special significance to the event.

The guests remarked that this occasion should be recorded in *golden letters* in the history of the school.

30/07/2026 அன்று மார்கயா போலோசிப் மற்றும் லயன்ஸ் கிளப் ஆகியோர் இணைந்து நடாத்திய இலவச மருத்துவ முகாம் மட்/மகாஜனக் கல்லூரியின் பிரதான மண்டபத்தில் நடைபெற்றது.

இந்நிகழ்வில் கொரியன் வைத்தியர் குழாமுடன் மட்/மகாஜனக் கல்லூரியின் சென் ஜோன் அம்புலன்ஸ் மாணவர்களும் பங்குபற்றினர். இதில் பிரிவு அத்தியட்சகரும் பொறுப்பாசிரியருமான திருமதி.றேக்கா கஜேந்தன் இணைப்பாளராக செயற்பட்டார்.

Today, a Certificate Awarding Ceremony for Bt/KK/Chenkalady Vivekananda Vidyalaya St. John Ambulance Brigade cadets was held in our school.

Mr. Vijayakumar, English Subject Teacher Advisor, Kalkudah Education Zone, participated as the Chief Guest and graced the event, and presented certificates to the cadets.

The event was held under the guidance of Mr. S. Stephen, District Commissioner, St. John Ambulance.
Also present were Mr. S. Chandrakumar, Principal, Mr. N. Chentheepan, Teacher-in-Charge of St. John Ambulance Brigade, Divisional Officer, teachers, and students.

A 3-day residential training camp was held at St. Michael's College from 26/06/2026 to 29/06/2026, organized by St. Michael's College St. John Ambulance Association and Brigade for St. John Ambulance and Brigade cadet students. The camp covered topics such as First Aid, Leadership, Meaning, Controlling Dangerous Fire Spread, Road Safety, and Savings for Life.

The following officials participated in this camp:
Mr. S. Stephen, Additional District Commissioner of St. John Ambulance and Brigade, Batticaloa District, Mr. Varatharajan, Corps Superintendent (Batticaloa Zone), Mr. B. Joseph, Principal of St. Michael's College, Mr. Jashanth, Corps Superintendent (Kalkudah Zone), Mr. Rithurshan, Divisional Superintendent, Batticaloa, N. Chentheepan, Divisional Officer, Kalkudah Zone, Dr. Muraleevaran, RDHS Batticaloa, and Head Quarters Inspector, Police Station, Batticaloa.

Furthermore, 300 cadet students from St. John Ambulance and Brigade of St. Michael's College, Chenkalady Vivekananda Vidyalayam, and Mahajana College participated in and benefited from this camp.

The Fire Brigade Division of Batticaloa Municipal Council and the Batticaloa Traffic Police Division also participated in this training camp and provided practical training.

The St. John Ambulance Brigade parade of Bt/KK/Chenkalady Vivekananda Vidyalayam was taken place at the Zonal Level Sports meet. This programme was held at the Bt/ KK/ Vantharumoolai Maththiya Vidyalayam playground on 12 of June 2026
This parade was handled by Navaratnarajah Chentheepan, Teacher incharge.
Our team did a wonderful job.

The oneday training camp of St. John Ambulance on first aid was held in BT/KK.Chenkalady Vivekananda Vidyalayam on 7th of June 2026.
The above said camp was ceremonially started at 8.30 am. This program was presided by the principal K.Santhirakumar and organized by N. Chentheepan, Divisional officer & Teacher in Charge.
Mr. N. Nesagajenthiran, Deputy Director Of Education Development, was the chief guest and S. Sivaraja, ISA & EPSI Coordinator & K. Pathmanathan, Secretary SDC, were the guest of houners.
Further more Corps Superintendent Mr. M. Jashanth, Kalkudah Zone, and Divisional Superintendent Mr. S. Rithurshan also participated.
Deputy principal, sectional heads
School teachers and parents adoned the event. This programme is considered one of the milestones in the histroy of the school.
