Exactly five years ago, on August 31, 2021, Devindya Oshini Gunawardhana made history by winning the FIDE Online World Cadets U10 Chess Cup. 🏆🇱🇰

Since that incredible milestone, her journey has been nothing short of inspiring. She has gone on to triumph in numerous international FIDE tournaments, setting what I believe is the national record for the highest number of individual medals won for Sri Lanka in chess. ♟️✨

It is a true honour and privilege to support her as a coach. Witnessing her discipline, fighting spirit, and deep love for the game gives me complete faith that one day, she will stand at the very pinnacle as the best female chess player in the world.
