The St. Peter's College Old Boys' Union was delighted to welcome our youngest Peterites from the A/L batches of 2024 and 2025 into the OBU family. Membership cards were officially presented, marking the beginning of their lifelong journey as an Old Boy.

The evening concluded with a fellowship social, providing an opportunity for the new members to connect, build friendships, and strengthen the Peterite spirit.

Inspiring the Next Generation of Peterites

The St. Peter's College Old Boys' Union was privileged to welcome over 200 GCE Advanced Level students to the College Hall today for the 2026 A/L Students' OBU Introduction Programme, held alongside the collection of their A/L Admission Cards.

The programme commenced with the blessings and address of Rev. Fr. Rohitha Rodrigo, followed by a warm welcome from OBU President Dr. Nirmal De Silva.

Our students were inspired by three distinguished Peterites who shared powerful life lessons drawn from their own journeys. Mr. Priyantha Athukorala, General Manager-Human Resources and Training at Mercantile Investments & Finance PLC spoke on the importance of discipline, courage and leadership, encouraging students to lead with character and integrity. Professor Ruchire Eranga Wijesinghe, a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, of the Faculty of Engineering, at the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) highlighted how curiosity, skill, innovation and lifelong learning can create opportunities to make a meaningful impact on the world. Mr. Ashan Ransilige, Chief Executive Officer of Link Natural Products (Pvt) Ltd inspired the audience to dream boldly, pursue those dreams with determination, and embrace failures and setbacks as stepping stones to success.

The programme also marked the students' first introduction to the St. Peter's College Old Boys' Union, where they were welcomed as future members of the Peterite fraternity. The morning concluded with fellowship over lunch, giving students the opportunity to interact with the speakers and members of the Old Boys' Union.

As our young Peterites prepare for their Advanced Level examinations, we wish them every success and look forward to welcoming them back as proud members of the St. Peter's College Old Boys' Union.

Building Stronger Peterite Bonds Across Borders.

The St. Peter's College Old Boys' Union had the pleasure of meeting with the Executive Committee of the SPC OBU UAE for a cordial and productive discussion centred on strengthening our partnership and shared commitment to the Peterite fraternity.

The meeting reaffirmed our common vision of working together on several key initiatives, including the Student Well-being Programme, the Open Gym Project, Golden Gleam 2026, and support for the Sportsman Insurance Scheme. Both committees expressed their commitment to collaborating closely to deliver meaningful and sustainable projects that will benefit our students, alumni, and the College.

The discussion was marked by a wonderful spirit of camaraderie, fellowship, and mutual respect, reflecting the strength of the global Peterite network.

Together, we look forward to building lasting partnerships, expanding alumni engagement, and making a meaningful difference through service and collaboration.

The St. Peter's College Old Boys' Union was delighted to host the St. Bridget's Convent Past Pupils' Association as part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening relationships with our sister schools.

The meeting focused on fostering closer collaboration, particularly in preparation for the upcoming Saints Quadrangular Tournament. Both committees also discussed working together on future projects, joint events, alumni engagement initiatives, and opportunities to strengthen stakeholder participation while enhancing the overall experience for our students and school communities.

As a gesture of goodwill and partnership, SPC OBU President Dr. Nirmal De Silva presented a memento to the President of the St. Bridget's Convent Past Pupils' Association Mrs. Dilani Pieris Yatawaka , symbolising the strong friendship between our two institutions and our shared commitment to meaningful collaboration.

Members of the Executive Committees of both alumni associations were present, marking the beginning of what we hope will be a long and rewarding partnership.
