*Funeral arrangements for the late Mr. Mano Chanmugam, Past President and Vice Patron of St. Peter’s College Old Boys’ Union.*

Uncle Mano’s remains will lie at A.F. Raymond’s, Borella from 7.00 p.m. onwards this evening.

*The funeral service will be held at the parlour on Thursday 19th March at 10.30 a.m. followed by cremation at the General Cemetery, Kanatte at 11.30 a.m.*

_*All Peterites are kindly requested to assemble in College tie at 10.15 a.m*_

A Legend Returns: Rohan Buultjens to Grace the 92nd Battle of the Saints! 🏏

We are thrilled to share that the legendary Peterite cricketing icon, Rohan Buultjens, will be the Chief Guest at the upcoming 92nd Battle of the Saints, taking place from March 19th to 21st, 2026, at the SSC Grounds.

For those of us who grew up in the late 70s and early 80s, Rohan’s name was synonymous with cricketing excellence. From his historic, unbeaten twin-centuries in the 1979 "Joe-Pete" Big Match—a record that still stands—to being named the Sunday Observer Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year in 1981, his career is the stuff of legend.

A Look Back at a Remarkable Journey:

Peterite Pride: Captained the 1980 First XI team, leading them to become All Island Schools Cricket Champions.

Stylistic Mastery: Renowned as a stylish left-hand batsman with cover drives that drew comparisons to the great David Gower.

National & International Stage: Represented Sri Lanka at the Under-20 level against India and toured Pakistan with the Under-23s.

Beyond the Pitch: Following a stellar domestic career with the Nondescripts Cricket Club (NCC) and stints in the English and Australian leagues, Rohan achieved great success in the corporate world, serving as the Chief Technology and Digital Officer at Hatton National Bank.
