Construction of Upstairs of SALMA Quarters Begins

The construction of the upstairs of the SALMA Quarters at Jeilani National School, Balangoda, has commenced as part of the school’s ongoing development initiatives.

The ground floor of the SALMA Quarters was previously donated by Al Haj M.F.M. Naleem, Proprietor of Barclays, in memory of his beloved father, Late Al Haj G.M. Farook.

The school community deeply appreciates Al Haj M.F.M. Naleem for his generous contribution and continued commitment to the development and welfare of Jeilani National School.

The School Development Executive Committee (SDEC), Old Boys’ Association (OBA), and Old Girls’ Association (OGA) extend their heartfelt gratitude to him for this valuable contribution.

May Allah accept this noble contribution as Sadaqah Jariyah, reward Al Haj M.F.M. Naleem and his family abundantly, and grant his beloved father, Late Al Haj G.M. Farook, Jannathul Firdaus and eternal peace in the Hereafter.

Note: This building is maintained under the supervision of the Grand Mosque.

2011 O/L Batch Donates Multimedia Projector

The 2011 GCE O/L Batch of Jeilani National School, Balangoda, donated a multipurpose multimedia projector to the Principal, Mrs. R. Suganthi, under the Back to School Project Support Programme.

This valuable contribution will support teaching, learning, presentations, and various school activities, further enhancing the educational environment of the school.

The SDEC, OBA, and OGA extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the 2011 O/L Batch for their generous contribution, continued commitment, and valuable support towards the development and progress of Jeilani National School.

The open classroom, previously contributed by Alhaj M.N.M. Nasrin, has now been further improved with the installation of a wire-mesh fence surrounding the classroom.

This additional development will provide greater safety, protection, and a more suitable learning environment for students.

2003 O/L Batch Begins Construction of Netball Court for Girls

The 2003 O/L Batch of Jeilani National School, Balangoda, has commenced the construction of a new Netball Court for girls at the area behind the Principal’s Quarters.

This valuable project is being undertaken by the 2003 O/L Batch as part of their contribution towards the development of sports facilities at the school.

The new facility will provide the girls with a dedicated space to practise and develop their netball skills, while further strengthening sports activities at Jeilani National School.

The school community, including the SDEC, OBA, and OGA, sincerely appreciates the commitment and valuable contribution of the 2003 O/L Batch towards the development of the school.

Prefects’ and Junior Section Leaders’ Guidance Workshop Held

Under the leadership of the Principal, Mrs. R. Suganthi, a Guidance Workshop for the Prefects and Junior Section Leaders of Jeilani National School, Balangoda, was successfully held on 17 September 2026 at the school’s New Auditorium from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.

The workshop was conducted under the theme “Healthy Youth, Healthy Future – A 360° Approach to Wellness”, focusing on physical health, mental well-being, spiritual growth, social skills, leadership, and education and career development.

The programme was coordinated by Dr. M. H. Faslul Haq, M.Phil., who provided valuable guidance and practical insights to the student leaders to strengthen their leadership qualities, communication skills, positive thinking, responsible behaviour, and personal well-being.

The programme was organised by Jeilani National School and sponsored by the Pearls of Jeilani – 1988 O/L Batch.

The workshop provided an important opportunity for the Prefects and Junior Section Leaders to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to serve as responsible and effective student leaders.

The school community especially appreciates the dedicated support, commitment, and valuable contribution of Ash. M.R.M. Firdous (Naleemi) and Mr. Mohamed Fazlin, members of the 1988 GCE O/L Batch, towards the development and progress of Jeilani National School.

The 2001 O/L Batch of Jeilani National School, Balangoda, has started implementing a Mini Garden Project in front of the school’s New Auditorium.

The project was assigned to the 2001 O/L Batch during the Back to School Programme held at the beginning of this year.

Last week, the batch officially handed over its project agreement to the Principal, Mrs. R. Suganthi, marking the beginning of the project implementation.

The project is expected to improve the appearance of the school premises and create a pleasant green environment for students and visitors.

பலாங்கொடை ஜெய்லானி தேசிய பாடசாலையின் புதிய கேட்போர் கூடத்திற்கு முன்னால் சிறு தோட்டத் திட்டத்தை (Mini Garden Project) 2001 ஆம் ஆண்டு க.பொ.த. (சா/த) மாணவர் குழுவினர் நடைமுறைப்படுத்த ஆரம்பித்துள்ளனர்.

இவ்வாண்டின் ஆரம்பத்தில் நடைபெற்ற “Back to School” நிகழ்ச்சியின் போது, இத்திட்டம் 2001 ஆம் ஆண்டு க.பொ.த. (சா/த) மாணவர் குழுவினருக்கு ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்டது.

கடந்த வாரம், இத்திட்டத்தை நடைமுறைப்படுத்துவதற்கான திட்ட ஒப்பந்தத்தை 2001 ஆம் ஆண்டு மாணவர் குழுவினர் பாடசாலை அதிபர் திருமதி R. Suganthi அவர்களிடம் உத்தியோகபூர்வமாகக் கையளித்தனர். இதன் மூலம் திட்டப் பணிகள் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

இத்திட்டத்தின் மூலம் பாடசாலை வளாகத்தின் அழகு மேம்படுத்தப்படுவதுடன், மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் வருகை தரும் அனைவருக்கும் இனிமையான பசுமையான சூழலை உருவாக்க முடியும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.

The completed project has improved the school environment and provided a better and safer space for students.
