Welcome to "Aunty Amaani's AMI Montessori House", dedicated to follow the teachings of Dr Maria Montessori and implementing the Montessori method of education at a very high standard. The Founder & the Directress, Amaani Rathnayaka was educated at Vishaka Girls' High-school, Badulla and followed the AMI Diploma in Montessori Education at St Bridget's Convent Colombo 7 in 2008, at the Good Shepherd Maria Montessori Training Centre. After completing her course she was granted to work as an assistant lecturer because of her accomplishments & performance during the course period. However, having accomplished that feat, she went on to gain more practical Montessori teaching experience for 4 years and successfully completed a training course on Basic First Aid at the School of First Aid Training affiliated to Sri Lanka Red Cross Society. Then she came back to her hometown, bringing a chance for the kids to have the Montessori education which even she didn't have as a kid. Aunty Amaani's AMI Montessori House is truly a place for children to Learn, Create, Discover, Imagine and to Explore.
