It was quite for a while, but we would like to show you some impressions of our final presentation. It was hard work with little sleep, but we made it at the end and are proud of our teamwork. Nevertheless, the hardest part was just to come, we had to say goodbye to our newly won friends from Sri Lanka.

We would like to give you a little insight of our project which we have been working on the last week with our partner University Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. So far, we had the chance to visit Rajarata Tiles, what is a Sri Lankan tile manufacturer as well as we could visit MAS Kreeda, what is a worldwide producer of garment. Our teams were analyzing the raw material flows within the company as well as they were investigating the status quo of the technologies which are being used. As a result of that the team members are looking for suggestions to replace technologies to more efficient ones, what will have a positive impact for the companies themselves as well as for the environment.

Yesterday we finally got to know the teams from Sri Lanka and started with the project after a short introduction. We tried to bring each other to the same level and prepared together for the visit at the first company MAS KREEDA Mihintale.

Yesterday we had the opportunity to visit the German Embassy in Colombo. There we presented our project and got an input to the work of the embassy in Sri Lanka. Thanks again for the nice reception. 🙂

Please find the english version below.

Vorab vielen Dank!!

It won't be long before we set off for Sri Lanka. Here we have the chance to work out a sustainability concept for local companies on site and in cooperation with students of the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka.
Most of the costs are covered by the partner university, but we are nevertheless looking for people and companies who would like to support this project financially.
For further information, please see the attached file. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!
Many thanks in advance!
