🇱🇻Proud Moment for St. Joseph’s College, Anuradhapura!

For the second consecutive time, our talented team has brought glory to the college at the 35th provincial “කළා උළෙල” debating tournament. This remarkable achievement is a result of dedication, discipline, and teamwork.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the teacher in charge, the past debaters who continuously trained and guided the team, and to our principal and school administration for their unwavering support.

The St.Joseph’s College Senior Sinhala Debating team emerged Champions of inter-school debating tournament along with the Cultural Festival organized by Cultural Department of North Central Province.

Along the journey, St.Joseph’s defeated Walisinghe Harischandra College in the quarter finals(3-0), President’s College in Semi finals(3-0) and Central College in the finals.

Special thanks to our debate teacher in charge Madam Udeni Vithanage and the team coach Mr. Binara Anthony for guiding the team to this victory.

We are happy to inform you that Anuradhapura St. Joseph's College has been selected for the quarter-final round of the 'වාගංගනා 2024' All-Island Inter-School Debating Tournament, conducted by the Debating and Oratory Society of Vishaka Vidyalaya Colombo. This victory was achieved by defeating Sripali Vidyalaya Horana in the first round (3-0), Musaeus College Colombo in the second round (2-1), and Holy Family Convent Kurunegala in the third round (2-1).

The team consisted of Manuka, Shehan, Dinew, Imalka, Maneth, and Savindu. We wish the team the very best for the next few rounds.

For the consecutive second time, senior sinhala debating team of St. Joseph's college clinched the District championship by defeating Swarnapali girls College (6-1) at the final of "මාගේ දේශය අවදි කරනු මැන" inter-school debating tournement organized by Peradeniye University
