Grade 5 SCHOLARSHIP AWARDING CEREMONY 2020 held on 10.04 2021.

Chief Guest was MR. MSM Razick, Assistant Director of Education for Tamil Unit, Zonal Education Office, Katugastota.

Guest of Honour was Alhaj SHM Riyas, Tata Steels.

It is the ONE TO ONE Parent meeting of Grade 03 classes of Thelumbugahawatta MV held today. Principal and the Class Teachers and the subject teachers individually met all the parents to discuss the progress of the students and to improve them targeting towards future studies. All the students were given a target marks comparing the present level. It's a very hard and tiresome work.

As principal I found many difficulties in the families in bringing them up.

Half of the students have done well and achieved very good performances.

Major problems I found are
1. Uneducated parents

2. Poverty

3. Mother living abroad

4. Father or mother is separated.

5. Fathers do not give their parental love and kindness to the child.

6. Father sends money from Western countries or like Japan without a control and Mother makes the child to play with money made life.

07. Parents have no control of the child.

08. Most of the children are not trained for prayers.

09.Parents watch TV ordering the children to study. But they can't study because of the TV etc.

10. Some students were found weak because their parents have their COVID19 vacation activities for their children and uploaded to the teachers.
