“A New Path for Sustainable Urban Development in Akurana!” – These certificates and prizes were awarded during the inaugural planning programme launched in collaboration with government institutions for the Akurana Development Plan in Asna Central Masjid Conference Hall Akurana.

We are pleased to announce that the Under-16 and Under-20 Netball teams of Akurana Muslim Balika Vidyalaya secured Third Place at the Zonal Level Netball Tournament held today at Nugawela Central College Grounds.

With this commendable achievement, both teams have successfully qualified to participate in the Provincial Level competitions.

The school community proudly extends its heartfelt congratulations 💐 to the players and the teachers in charge for their dedication, commitment, and outstanding performance.

இன்றைய தினம் நுகவெல மத்திய கல்லூரி மைதானத்தில் இடம்பெற்ற வலய மட்டத்திலான வலைப்பந்து போட்டிகளில் அக்குறணை முஸ்லிம் பாலிகா பாடசாலை 16 மற்றும் 20 வயதிற்குட்பட்ட அணிகள் மூன்றாம் இடத்தை பிடித்தது சாதித்துள்ளது.

இதன் மூலம் எமது அணிகள் மாகாண மட்ட போட்டிகளில் பங்கேற்பதற்கு தெரிவாகியுள்ளது.

உலக அமைதிக்கான நடைபயணம் 2026

அக்குறணையை கடந்து சென்ற இக்குழுவினரை பொதுமக்களுடன் சேர்ந்து அக்குறணை முஸ்லிம் பாலிகா மாணவியரும் இணைந்து வரவேற்றனர்.

வியட்நாமில் பிறந்து அமெரிக்காவில் வசிக்கும் மதிப்பிற்குரிய பன்ங்ஞாகர(Ven. Paññākāra) தேரர் மற்றும் அவரது விசுவாசமான நாய் "ஆலோகா", உலக அமைதிக்கான செய்தியை சுமந்து இன்று மாத்தளை அழுவிகாரையிலிருந்து கண்டி ஸ்ரீ தலதா மாளிகையை நோக்கித் தமது பயணத்தைத் தொடர்கின்றனர்.

இன்றைய விசேட நிகழ்வு: அக்குரணையில் வரவேற்பு

இந்த புனிதமான பயணத்தை அக்குரணை பிரிவின் பலகடுவ சந்தியில் வைத்து பிரம்மாண்டமாக வரவேற்க ஏற்பாடுகள் செய்யப்பட்டன.

இந்நிகழ்வில்:
புத்தசாசன பிரதி அமைச்சர் கௌரவ கமகெதர திசாநாயக்க மற்றும் கண்டி மாவட்ட நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களான கௌரவ ரியாஸ் பாரூக், கௌரவ தனுர திஸாநாயக்க அவர்கள் மற்றும் அக்குரணை பிரதேச சபையின் கௌரவ தலைவர் இஸ்திகார் இமாதுதீன, பிரதேச செயலாளர் செல்வி ருவன்திகா ஹேன்நாயக மற்றும் அரச அதிகாரிகள் கலந்துகௌரவித்தனர்.

அமெரிக்காவில் 2,300 மைல்கள் கால்நடையாகவே பயணித்த இந்த தேரரும், நிழல் போல தொடரும் ஆலோக நாயும், தற்போது இலங்கையில் ஜனாதிபதியின் அழைப்பின் பேரில் இந்த "சமாதான யாத்திரையை" மேற்கொள்கின்றனர்.

Walk for Peace 2026: Vietnamese Monk and 'Aloka' the Dog Head Towards Kandy!

The world-renowned Vietnamese monk, Venerable Paññākāra, accompanied by his loyal companion "Aloka" the dog, is continuing his historic journey in Sri Lanka Today, the walk proceeds from Aluvihara Temple, Matale, to the Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa) in Kandy.

Special Reception at Akurana.
The Akurana Division is set to officially welcome the Peace Walk at the Balakaduwa receiving point. The delegation will be received by:

Gamagedara Dissanayake, Deputy Minister of Buddhasasana,
Hon. Riyas Farook, Member of Parliament for Kandy District. Hon. Thanura Dissanayake, Member of Parliament for Kandy District. The Chairman and members of the Akurana Pradeshiya Sabha, the Divisional Secretary, and other government officials.

Ven. Paññākāra, an intellectual in Psychology and Political Science, has walked thousands of miles globally—including a 2,300-mile trek across the USA—to spread the message of compassion. This Sri Lankan leg of the journey is supported by the government’s "Clean Sri Lanka" initiative.

We are deeply mourns the passing of our SDEC Secretary, Brother Fazlan.

He was known for his sincerity, humility, and unwavering dedication to social service.

His contributions were not only valuable to our School but also impactful to the wider community.

We pray that Allah accepts his good deeds, forgives his shortcomings, and grants him Jannatul Firdaus.

May his efforts continue to benefit him as ongoing الخير.

May Allah grant patience and strength to his family and loved ones.

அக்குறணை முஸ்லிம் பாலிகா பாடசாலையின் ஆசிரியர்களுக்கான வருடாந்த இfப்தார் நிகழ்வு 08.03.2026 ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை பாடசாலை கேட்போர்கூடத்தில் Sunset Serenity எனும் கருப்பொருளில் பாடசாலையின் பழைய மாணவர் ஒன்றியத்தினால் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டது.

நிகழ்வில் பாடசாலையின் ஆசிரியர் குழாம் மற்றும் அவர்களின் குடும்ப அங்கத்தவர்கள், பாடசாலை அபிவிருத்தி நிறைவேற்றுக்குழு, உபகுழு அங்கத்தவர்கள் மற்றும் அவர்களது துணைவியர், பாடசாலை பழைய மாணவ தலைவியர் குழுவின் அங்கத்தவர்கள் மற்றும் அவர்களது துணைவியர், பாடசாலை பழைய மாணவர் ஒன்றிய அங்கத்தவர்கள் மற்றும் அவர்களது துணைவியர், பாடசாலை அமைப்புக்களின் முன்னால் அங்கத்தவர்கள் என அனைவரும் கலந்து சிறப்பித்தனர்.

விஷேடமாக பாடசாலையின் முன்னால் அதிபர்களும் கலந்துகொண்டனர்.

Annual Iftar Program

Sunset Serenity

The Annual Iftar Program for the teachers of Akurana Muslim Balika School was organized by the Past Pupils’ Association and held on Sunday, 08 March 2026, at the school auditorium.

The event was attended by members of the school’s teaching staff together with their family members, the School Development Executive Committee (SDEC) and subcommittee members along with their spouses, members of members of Past Prefects Guild (PPG) and their spouses, members of the Past Pupils’ Association (PPA) and their spouses, as well as former members of the school’s various organizations.

Former principals of the school also graced the occasion as special guests.

During the program, special gifts were presented to the teachers and their children in appreciation and recognition of their contributions.

தேசிய மட்டத்தில் முதலிடம்

அக்குறணை முஸ்லிம் பாலிகா பாடசாலை மாணவி ஆமினா இனோஷன் தேசிய மட்டத்திலான படைப்பாற்றல் எழுத்துப்போட்டியில் அகில இலங்கை ரீதியாக முதல் இடத்தைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார்.

கொழும்பில் இடம்பெற்ற 2025ம் ஆண்டிற்கான அகில இலங்கை ரீதியான ஆங்கில தின நிகழ்வில் பங்கேற்ற ஆமினா இனோஷன் முதல் இடத்தைப்பெற்று பாடசாலைக்கு பெருமை சேர்த்துள்ளார்.

மாகாண மட்டத்தில் இடம்பெற்ற போட்டி நிகழ்விலும் குறித்த மாணவி முதலிடம் பெற்றது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

குறித்த மாணவிக்கு பாடசாலையின் அதிபர் ஆசிரியர்கள், பாடசாலை SDEC & PPA சார்பில் வாழ்த்துக்களையும் பாராட்டுக்களையும் தெரிவித்துக்கொள்கிறோம்.

First Place at National Level

student of Akurana Muslim Balika Vidyalaya, Amina Inoshan, secured First Place at the All-Island Level in the National Creative Writing Competition.

She participated in the All-Island English Day Programme 2025 held in Colombo and brought great honour to the school by winning first place.

It is noteworthy that she had also secured first place at the provincial-level competition.

On behalf of the school Principal, teachers, and the School SDEC & PPA, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to the student for her outstanding achievement.

பாலிகா ஹஸனாத் Charity Program

க.பொ.த உயர்தர ஆங்கில மொழிமூலம் கல்வி கற்கும் கலை மற்றும் வணிக துறை மாணவியர் இணைந்து கற்றல் கற்பித்தல் உபகரணங்களை சேகரித்து எமது பாடசாலைக்கு அண்மித்த தேவையுடைய பாடசாலைகளை இனங்கண்டு வழங்கும் வருடாந்த நிகழ்வு இம்முறையும் மிகச்சிறப்பாக இடம்பெற்றது.

குறித்த நிகழ்வானது சென்ற 14.02.2026 அன்று இடம்பெற்றது.

Balika Hasanath Charity Program

The students of the Arts and Commerce streams, who are pursuing their G.C.E. Advanced Level studies in the English medium, successfully organized and carried out the annual charity initiative once again this year.

As part of this program, the students collectively gathered essential teaching and learning materials and identified nearby schools in need, to which these resources were distributed.

The event was successfully held on 14.02.2026

தரம் 1 புதிய மாணவர் வரவேற்பு நிகழ்வு

அக்குறணை முஸ்லிம் பாலிகா பாடசாலையில் 2026 தரம் 1 பிள்ளைகளை வரவேற்கும் நிகழ்வு சென்ற 29.01.2026 வியாழக்கிழமை அன்று இடம்பெற்றது.

குறித்த நிகழ்வில் வலயக்கல்வியின் தமிழ் பிரிவு பணிப்பாளர் எம்.எஸ்.எம் ராஸிக் அவர்கள் பிரதம அதிதியாக கலந்து கொண்டு நிகழ்வை சிறப்பித்தார்.

தரம் 1 மாணவியரை தரம் 2 மாணவியர் பல்வேறு மேடை நிகழ்ச்சிகளுடன் மிகுந்த உற்சாகத்துடன் வரவேற்றனர்.

ஆசிரியர்களின் வழிகாட்டலில் நிகழ்வை மிக வெற்றிகரமாக ஒருங்கிணைத்து நடாத்துவதற்கு தரம் 1 மற்றும் தரம் 2 பெற்றோர்களின் பங்களிப்பு அளப்பரியது, அவர்களுக்கு பாடசாலை நிர்வாகம் சார்பில் விஷேட நன்றிகளை தெரிவித்துக்கொள்கிறோம்.

Welcome Ceremony for Grade 1 Students – 2026

The welcome ceremony for the 2026 Grade 1 students of Akkurana Muslim Balika Vidyalaya was held on Thursday, 29.01.2026.

The event was graced by the Tamil Division Inchargr in Zonal Education office Katugastota, Mr. M.S.M. Rasik, who attended as the Chief Guest and added prestige to the occasion.

The Grade 1 students were warmly welcomed by the Grade 2 students through a variety of vibrant and enthusiastic stage performances.

Under the guidance of the teachers, the event was successfully planned and conducted with the invaluable support and cooperation of the parents of Grade 1 and Grade 2 students. On behalf of the school administration, we extend our special thanks to all the parents for their tremendous contribution.
