The Board of Directors, Board of Trustees, President, Faculty, Staff and Students of Spartan Health Sciences University mourns with deepest regret, the sudden death of Dr. Dennie Wilson. He served as the Chairman of Board of Trustee at Spartan Health Sciences University.

The news of his passing was received with great sadness. He was an astute educationalist, a great man of inestimable quality, who had touched the lives of many positively, as characterized by his honesty, sincerity, integrity, devotion and selfless service to our university.

What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.

So, as you, the immediate members of his family mourn his demise to glory, do not think you are alone but be rest assured that we truly miss him and also mourn with you.

May his soul Rest in Peace.

SHSU SOM organized Spring 2022 Graduation Ceremony and Farewell Ceremony of Outgoing MD5 Trimester students at Spartan Auditorium, Spartan Health Sciences University, St. Lucia on April 22nd 2022 at 05:00 PM. Master of Ceremony Dr. Rajeev Pandey, Asst. Dean of Admissions & Associate Professor of Biochemistry welcomed all Graduants, MD5 students, Administration, Faculties, all family members of students, Educational Expert, Financial Aid Officer and all administrative & supporting staff for making their time to witness the ceremony.
Mr. Percival Mc Donald congratulate all students and emphasized that even during COVID period, how SHSU continued maintaining the standard of education within the limitation of all protocols and ensure that will continue the same.
The University announced the graduation of 24 students and conducted Graduation Ceremony of recent graduates. SHSU Graduants Dr. Ornella Falvien, Dr. Kentry Jr Frederick, Dr. Danielle Jules, Dr. Gilberta La Porte, Dr. Fidella S. Melchoir, Dr. Michael Persaud, Dr. Paulbert Sammy and Dr. Liz St. Marie were able to make their presence in the ceremony and received their Degree from Dr. Gurumurthy, Dean, SHSU SOM.
During Farewell ceremony, 23 outgoing MD5 trimester students received Stethoscope and certificates of recognition for various academic activities from Dr. Gurumurthy, Mr. Percival Mc Donald, and Dr. Rajeev Pandey.
Dr. Gurumurthy vouch for SHSU SOM faculties, staff and students for their support to continue and maintaining the standard of education and congratulate all students for their milestone.
Dr. Fidella S. Melchoir and Ms. Shenelle B Menezes shared their experience and memories from day one – till date with SHSU SOM.
The ceremony was concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Kajal Kadam, SHSU SOM.
The SHSU SOM wishes all their Graduates and outgoing MD5 trimester students for all their future endeavors.

SHSU SOM organized an Academic event on April 1, 2022 at 12 noon for recognition & award of all students those excel in academics and made it into the prestigious Dean’s List in Fall 2021 trimester.
The University also recognized the presence and officially conducted Graduation Ceremony of 02 recent graduates Dr. Kimberly Remedios and Dr. Kajal J. Kadam. Dr. Kimberly shared emotional experience about her journey from day one – till residency placement. Dr. Kajal shared her experience and ways of preparation for residency. Dr. Gurumurthy, Dr. Rajeev Pandey and students also shared their experiences with both graduates.
The event was ended with cake cutting by Graduates and photo sessions.
