Today, marks a year, one year, since we suddenly, unexpectedly, disapppintedly, closed the doors of Beanefield Comprehensive as Covid 19 silently crept into our lives. Our way of doing has drastically changed over the course of that year...
Today, today, we take a breathe to say THANK YOU!
THANK YOU TO OUR STAFF
We are grateful for your ingenuity, your resilience, your passion and your strength, as we have navigated unprecedented challenges.
Now more than ever, we are proud to be a BCSS team member, and grateful to have such a wonderful colleague in you.
It has been hard. You have had to transition from your normal teaching practice to virtual learning, setting up new lesson plans, devising and recording instructional videos, preparing materials, and finding novel ways to check in on and connect with your students.
You, BCSS team member, have done all of this while managing the effects of this COVID-19 situation on your family and personal lives as well.
We thank you for rising to the occasion and demonstrating GRIT.
We thank you for reaching out to those students you know who do not have the kind of support that is needed and you have been there for them.
We thank you for your unending support, tenacity and caring.
We thank you!
WE SAY THANK YOU parents/guardians

We thank you for monitoring and ensuring that your child is responsible.

Castries Comprehensive Sch. to Remain Closed for Two Weeks - All Other Schools Closed for One Week
In light of the recent Covid-19 developments impacting our education sector, the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Gender Relations and Sustainable Development convened a working session, today Friday 16th October 2020, with various stakeholders at the Ministry, to review and update its COVID-19 protocols for the sector.
After dialogue with the Department of Health and Wellness, in the best interest of all our stakeholders, the Ministry has decided, as a precaution, to keep all schools island-wide, closed for one week and the Castries Comprehensive Secondary closed for two weeks.
During this period the Ministry of Health and Wellness will continue to conduct its necessary screenings, the results of which will help determine the way forward. In keeping with our commitment to continuously engage stakeholders, we will continue to rely on guidance from the Office of the Chief Education Officer and by extension the Ministry Health and Wellness, in the best interest of all.
The Ministry advises parents and guardians that instruction will revert to the multi-faceted approach of online learning and safe distribution of instructional packages from teachers, during the period students are at home. Parents and Guardians are also asked to note that all necessary information to you on this matter will be communicated by the school of your child or ward.
The Ministry encourages everyone to continue to observe the necessary protocols as we endeavour to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
