See the Alpha Flag? 200 Feet Is the Rule - Not a Suggestion. 🚩
When an Alpha flag or a Diver Down flag is displayed, it signals that divers are in the water below. These flags are not decorative markers — they are critical safety indicators designed to prevent serious injury or loss of life.
• Reduce speed immediately.
• Stay alert and observe your surroundings.
• Keep at least 200 feet between you and the flag.
This buffer zone provides divers with a safe area to surface, maneuver, and conduct their activities. This isn’t a courtesy. It’s not a suggestion. It’s the law.
