What a proud moment for the Fond St. Jacques Primary School!

On Friday, June 20, 2025, our talented young cricketers took to the field at the Darren Sammy Cricket Ground for the Republic Bank 5 For Fun Zonal Cricket Festival — and what a performance they delivered! With grit, determination, and true team spirit, the Fond St. Jacques Primary School team rose to the occasion, securing an outstanding 2nd place finish among tough competition.

We are especially proud of Alaska James, whose incredible performance lit up the field. Alaska didn’t just play — he dominated, walking away with all three individual awards:

- Most Runs
- Most Wickets
- MVP (Most Valuable Player)

What an extraordinary feat for such a young athlete! His dedication and talent are truly inspiring.

To the entire team — your hard work, sportsmanship, and unity were on full display, and you’ve made your school and district immensely proud. Congratulations to each of you. This is more than just a win — it’s a celebration of your passion, perseverance, and potential.

Well done, Fond St. Jacques Primary! The future of cricket is bright.

Two cooks from District 8 received their CVQ Level ll certification in Food Preparation after embarking on an 8-month training after school hours. This was an initiative by the head of the Student Welfare Unit of the Ministry of Education, Ms Miriam Henville. The course was funded under the Human Resiliency Capital Project. 28 cooks from District 1-8 enrolled in this course and successfully completed. Congratulations to all cooks who embarked on this personal and professional development. Their skills and knowledge of culinary arts will be tested in the quality of food they prepare for students.

Congratulations!
