A Wonderful First Day Back at Ave Maria Girls' Primary School.

The first day back at the Ave Maria Girls' Primary School was calm, joyful and filled with much excitement as we welcomed our girls, parents and teachers for the start of a new school year.
This year, for the first time, parents were invited to join their daughters for a special Meet and Greet with their teachers. The morning began with prayers and a warm welcome by our Principal, who introduced our theme for the year:

"Excellence in Every Task, Greatness in Every Girls and Everyone"

She reminded parents of the important role they play in supporting their daughters to strive for excellence, develop their gifts, and grow into confident, responsible and great young ladies.

Following the general welcome, parents and their daughter joined their respective classroom teachers for individual briefing sessions. These sessions provided an opportunity for mutual exchange of expectations, discussions of important matters and goal setting for the year.
Our girls and teachers warmly embraced this new approach to beginning the school year. The Meet and Greet has helped to strengthen the partnership between home, the school and set a positive foundation for a successful, meaningful and fruitful academic year.
Here is to a year of excellence, growth, purpose and greatness at Ave Maria Girls School.

In Loving Memory of Ms. Roselyne Clyne

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ms. Roselyne Clyne, a former teacher of the Ave Maria Girls’ Primary School.

Ms. Clyne was truly a gem of a teacher who touched the lives of the many girls she taught throughout her years of dedicated service. She was a student-centred, holistic educator who believed in nurturing not only the academic abilities of her students, but also their talents, creativity, character, and cultural identity.

A passionate advocate for our culture, Ms. Clyne played an important role in promoting the rich cultural traditions of Saint Lucia. She led and championed the school choir and was instrumental in many of the school’s talent shows and cultural presentations, providing countless opportunities for her students to discover and showcase their gifts.

Ms. Clyne was particularly well known for teaching Standard Four, one of the school’s Common Entrance classes, for many years. Under her guidance, encouragement, and commitment, her students consistently performed exceptionally well and produced excellent results. Her impact, however, went far beyond examination results. She inspired confidence, discipline, creativity, and a love for learning in the girls entrusted to her care.

Born on August 30, Ms. Clyne shared her birthday with the vibrant celebrations of La Woz, a festival she embraced and celebrated as an important part of Saint Lucian culture.

The Principal, past and present teachers and students, and the entire Ave Maria Girls’ Primary School community extend our deepest condolences to Ms. Clyne’s family and friends. We also extend our heartfelt sympathy to the many former students she taught and loved so sincerely.

Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she influenced, the talents she nurtured, the cultural traditions she championed, and the generations of students who will forever remember her as a caring and dedicated teacher.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.

You persevered with determination to achieve great success. You have made us very proud. Special thanks and gratitude to all our Ave teachers especially our 4 Grade 6 teachers..your hardwork and dedication did paid off. Thank you parents for you continued support and positive parenting. Continue to provide and guide your girls as they transition to secondary level.
