Hey Queen…& friend…
Let’s Talk about Executing the Goal: and a reminder that It’s Not Too Late
Having a goal is one thing; executing it is another. As we approach the end of the year, you may be looking at the goals you set and wondering, “Where did the time go? Why am I not further along?”
But here is the reminder: It is not too late.
Before you abandon the goal, take a moment to examine the setbacks. What got in the way? Was it circumstances beyond your control? Fear? Lack of resources? Distractions? Poor planning? Or perhaps you simply lost momentum?
Be honest with yourself, but don't use reflection as a reason to condemn yourself. You are moving at your own pace. Your journey does not have to look like someone else's.
The Bible reminds us:
“Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9
However, moving at your own pace does not mean standing still.
There is a difference between resting and becoming complacent, moving slowly and being lazy, waiting for the right time and procrastinating. Sometimes we have to acknowledge that the greatest obstacle isn't the goal, it’s our unwillingness to take the next step.
So, ask yourself:
What is one thing I can do TODAY to move this goal forward?
You may not be able to accomplish everything before the year ends, but you can accomplish something. One phone call. One application. One chapter. One workout. One conversation. One decision. One step.
And remember the encouragement of Philippians 3:13–14:
“Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark…”
Don't spend so much time regretting what didn't happen that you miss the opportunity to execute what still can happen.
Revisit the goal.
Reassess the plan.
Remove the distractions.
Reignite the discipline.
And EXECUTE!
There is still time. Finish the year intentionally—not perfectly, but purposefully.
Here’s a *Reflection*
Ask yourself- “Am I genuinely moving at my own pace, or have I allowed complacency, procrastination, fear, or laziness to slow me down?”
Your pace may be different, but keep moving. The goal still deserves your effort and God can still do something significant with the time you have left
