Piaget:The Independent Explorer believed that children are like "little scientists." They learn by interacting directly with their physical world,experimenting and figuring things out on their own.
Vygotsky: The Social Learner on the other hand, viewed learning as an inherently social process. He believed that community, culture, and language are the primary tools for cognitive growth.
However they both share vital core principles
*Active learning; kids learn best by doing, not just listening
*Prior knowledge; new learning must be built on top of what they already know
*Power of play; play is essential, it supports overall cognitive, emotional,and social development
* Social connection; interaction matters deeply to a child's growing mind
