Pursuant to the transformation of Saint Lucia’s education sector, leaders in the Ministry of Education have recognised the need for a systematic review of the current Education Act (2005).
In 2021, a consultant firm was engaged to review and revise Saint Lucia’s Education Act.

The Ministry of Education seeks to develop a more inclusive and robust Education Act that builds on the strengths of learners and enables the continued creation of safe and supportive learning communities. The Ministry has consulted extensively with stakeholders throughout this review and revision process. Please find attached the May 17, 2024 iteration of the draft revised Education Bill and Regulations.
