“Aren’t you scared?”
Scared?
I once moved to a country where I knew nobody.
I learned the language while trying to build a life.
Figured out the system on my own.
Made friends from scratch as a grown adult.
Learned how to belong somewhere I had never belonged before.
There was no familiar safety net.
No one telling me exactly what to do.
I had to figure things out as I went.
And somehow, little by little, I built a life nobody handed me.
So yes…
I know what fear feels like.
But I also know what I’m capable of.
Because when you’ve had to build yourself a life from scratch, you stop underestimating your own strength.
