Hosted by the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Day 1 of the 4th Annual Medical Congress, “Trauma: From Impact to Recovery,” brought together healthcare professionals from across the field. The discussions focused on trauma care, recovery, innovation, and advancing the standards of care in Lebanon and beyond.

استقبل رئيس جامعة البلمند الدكتور الياس وراق، المدير العام للأمن العام في لبنان اللواء حسن شقير، يرافقه كل من العميد خطار ناصر الدين والعميد جوني صايصة والرائد جورج وردان، في زيارة إلى الجامعة بتاريخ 1 أيلول 2026.

وخلال اللقاء، قدّم الدكتور وراق عرضًا عن كليات الجامعة وبرامجها الأكاديمية ومشاريعها البحثية، مستعرضاً أبرز مراحل تطور الجامعة وتوجّهها نحو تعزيز البحث العلمي والحصول على الإعتماد من مؤسسات دولية. وتطرق كذلك إلى مركز جامعة البلمند الطبي، وما سيتيحه خلال السنوات المقبلة من فرص تدريبية ومهنية لطلاب الجامعة، بالإضافة إلى تقديم رعاية طبية متميزة للمجتمع.

كما عرض الدكتور وراق أهداف مركز الدبلوماسية المناخية والسلام المستدام في جامعة البلمند، ودوره في تعزيز ريادة الجامعة في مجالات البحث والدراسات المرتبطة بالمناخ والمياه والطاقة والبيئة، إلى جانب البرامج والمبادرات التي تعمل الجامعة على تطويرها في هذه المجالات.

وتأتي زيارة اللواء شقير إلى جامعة البلمند في إطار تعزيز التواصل والتعاون وتبادل الخبرات، ودعم الجهود الرامية إلى تطوير البحث العلمي والمبادرات الأكاديمية، بما يواكب التحديات الوطنية والإقليمية ويدعم بناء شراكات مؤسساتية مستدامة.

في 24 آب 2026، وقّعت جامعة البلمند وشركة نير ايست برسونال كير كومباني ش.م.ل. (نبكو)، الشركة التابعة لمجموعة شركة هولدال ش.م.ل. (هولدنغ)، مذكرة تفاهم لإطلاق تحالف السلامة المرورية في لبنان (LRSA) تحت عنوان "كل حياة مهمة – مستوحى من إيليو"، في إطار مبادرة وطنية تهدف إلى تعزيز السلامة المرورية وحماية الأرواح على الطرقات في مختلف أنحاء لبنان.

وقّع رئيس جامعة البلمند الدكتور الياس ورّاق والسّيد كميل وازن مدير عام شركة نير ايست برسونال كير كومباني ش.م.ل. (نبكو) مذكرة التفاهم. يجمع هذا التعاون بين الخبرة في مجالات التوعية والتواصل والتعبئة وإشراك القطاع الخاص، والخبرة التقنية التي تتمتع بها جامعة البلمند في مجالات ذكاء البيانات، وأنظمة تحديد المواقع الجغرافية (GPS) ، وتحليل البيانات، والتكنولوجيا والتقييم.

وتجدر الإشارة الى اقامة مبادرات توعوية في المدارس الثانوية والجامعات والمهرجانات، بالإضافة الى عقد شراكات مع المنظمات غير الحكومية والجهات والشركات والمؤسسات الخاصة التي سوف ندعوها للإنضمام إلينا ضمن هذا التحالف، بالإضافة الى القطاع العام.

On August 24, 2026, the University of Balamand and Near East Personal Care Company SAL (NEPCO), a subsidiary of HOLDAL Abou Adal Group SAL (Holding), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to launch the Lebanon Road Safety Alliance (LRSA), “Every Life Counts – Inspired by Elio,” a national initiative dedicated to promoting safer roads and protecting lives across Lebanon.

The MOU was signed by UOB President Dr. Elias Warrak and Mr. Camille Wazen, General Manager of NEPCO. The partnership brings together expertise in awareness, communication, mobilization, and private-sector engagement with UOB’s technical expertise in data intelligence, GPS monitoring, analytics, technology, and evaluation.
