The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), established in 1938, is a not-for-profit private Catholic higher education institution. It was the first university in Lebanon founded upon a Lebanese initiative by Lebanese citizens. One of Lebanon’s leading universities, USEK has over 250 international partnerships worldwide and is a member of 150 international associations. USEK was the only university outside the Americas to be part of the Internationalization Laboratory of the American Council of Education in the USA. USEK has degree-granting university campuses in Chekka, Rmeich and Zahle, and provides education and conducts research through its several academic units in the arts and sciences, architecture and design, business, engineering, law, political sciences, medicine, theology, music, and continuing education and professional studies, among other areas.
