This year, we celebrate the Power and Energy Society (PES) Day💡 to make our mark on the clean energy revolution.✨⚡️🌬
With a joint event that brings together the branches of IEEE PES from the universities of Jordan 🇯🇴 in collaboration with IEEE PES from the universities of Lebanon 🇱🇧
📍Friday 9 April
◾️ Beginning of the ceremony at 4:00pm:

♦️Dr. Ala' Khalifeh was elected to serve as the President of the IEEE Jordan Section for a period of two

♦️Dr. Bachar President of the IEEE Lebanon Section.
◾️ Clean energy topics will be provided

Clean Energy Revolution is our 💚PES day 2021💚 theme.
So, we are glad to have a segment in our event where we will be discussing a unique program 📢dedicated to support the Clean Power Energy and covering the shortage in the electrical power in the MENA.

Clean Energy Revolution is our 💚PES day 2021💚 theme. So, we are glad to have a segment in our event where we will be discussing a unique program 📢dedicated to supporting the Clean Power Energy and covering the shortage in the electrical power in the MENA.

Our program is the Advanced Teaching & training on Smart grid & Grid Integration of Renewable Energy Systems (AT-SGIRES) program.
An ERASMUS + program approved by the European Commission.

For our discussion, we will gladly be having:

Associate Professor in the Electrical Engineering department a TTU Since 2011
Holds her PhD. in Electrical Power Engineering from the Western Michigan University, MI, USA
And her MSc. in Control and Power Engineering from JUST, Jordan
She has published 12 Scientific Paper of which were published in IEEE conferences

✨Dr. Zaid Al-Halhouli✨

Vice Dean of the faculty of Information and Communications Technology at TTU
Holds his PhD.
in Information and Communication Technology from the Tenaga National University, Malaysia
And his MSc.
in Computer Information Systems from the Arabic Academy for banking and financial science, Jordan

Dr. Zaid is the Project Coordinator of AT-SGIRES and MS@CPS which both are ERASMUS+ projects

he has published 16 Scientific Papers 2 of which were published in IEEE conferences

Dr. Adam Chehouri 🔥
🔹Is a Senior Wind Turbine Engineer with the Wind Technology group at DNV, based in Montreal, Canada.
🔹Adam brings over 5 years of experience in the wind industry, with a current focus on North American onshore wind due diligence undertaking:
- turbine technology risk assessment
- independent turbine technology review
- construction monitoring
- operational wind performance analysis (reliability & O&M cost projection).

🔹His responsibilities also include independent wind turbine blade failure investigation and blade damage assessment. As of December 2020, Adam has successfully provided engineering services to over 18 GW of onshore wind projects in North America, including +10 Merger & Acquisition portfolio projects, construction monitoring of +2.5 GW, turbine technology risk assessment of +4.5 GW, site suitability analysis of +3 GW, site visit inspections of +30 sites across North America, and supported over 10 blade-related failure or damage investigations.

🔹Prior to joining DNV, Adam held the role of junior engineer with the Renewable Power team at Hatch Ltd., where he led efforts to monitor, analyze and improve wind turbine performance, SCADA data analysis for failure detection of wind turbines, and supported pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for commercial-scale wind and hybrid projects in North America.

🔹Adam holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, where he completed his doctoral research on the optimization of wind turbine blades using computational intelligence. Adam has published several publications in the fields of wind turbine optimization and computational intelligence techniques.

♦️Member of the teaching staff in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the German Jordanian University

♦️Dr. Ala' Khalifeh was elected to serve as the President of the IEEE Jordan Section for a period of two years.

♦️He has held several positions on the Institute's Executive Committee over the past six years

♦️He also held the position of President of the Communications Society of the Institute for four years and responsible for its activities for two years

🔹Studied Master degree in the Electrical engineering at University of Jordan (2001-2003).

Our three main topics were:

Three topics that are very important in everyone's daily life🌃
