Genius Summer Camp Ceremony

High school students who enrolled in the Genius Summer Camp organized by AUT received their certificates of participation during a ceremony held in the Issam fares Auditorium at AUT.

Parents of the participating students expressed their strong satisfaction at the usefulness of the Camp as it provided their children with enough practical knowledge of many university majors allowing them to know best what suits them and what doesn’t. Adma Salloum, a former AUT student spoke about her daughter’s experience at the Genius Camp and encouraged AUT to organize the camp every summer so a larger number of high school students can benefit from the experience.

The Camp included practical and theoretical classes in Nutrition, Water and Environment, Computer Science and several areas of Business including Finance, Hotel Management, and Transport Management.

A martial art session with Sensei Samir Chami to end the summer activities at AUT.
Serving, Protecting, & Caring is all about martial arts values,
Students did not want to leave the class, and girls more than boys, after they learned the true spiritual and physical meaning of this sport.

Monday's activity with the Genius Summer Camp students was an overview of the Chinese Calligraphy.
Students learned about the history of the letter and how art, self-expression, and poetry
play a huge role in the Chinese culture, and as you see in the pictures they enjoyed this artistic session with Mario Fleyhan who we thank tremendously for sharing his knowledge and experience.

Last session of the Nutritional Health program took place at AUT Nutritional lab with AUT Summer Camp Students.
It’s all about the combination of ingredients and choices of food, said Dietitian Joelle Farha, AUT Nutrition and Health professor.
Students worked on the physical activities needed at their age, their own dietary plans, and had a great informative time this past week understanding the concept of being healthy, preventing obesity and treating it through healthy lifestyle modifications.
They also learned about food pyramid groups and healthy substitutions through interactive learning in our nutrition Lab, and students participated in a game the final day to test their knowledge, and the winners got a free body composition analysis from Dietitian Joelle Farha.

Jean Jules Sarrouf and Marie Noelle Abi Farah, Cub Scout Leaders were with us today at AUT Summer camp running
Leadership and Team building activities for the students.
AUT Summer Camp students had fun while learning the basic skills of communication, leadership, team dynamics, and co-opetition!

Additionally, they learned about all sections in Hospitality and the job opportunities in that sector
