The Lebanese American University handed white coats over to 38 medical students Tuesday at the University Medical Center Rizk Hospital, in a traditional ceremony marking their entrance into clinical practice. Though the students will graduate in 2015, they are now prepared to work directly with patients. A relatively new program, the Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine at LAU was celebrating its third white coat ceremony. Appointments for interviews are given after members of the LAUMS Admissions Committee review all completed applications, and based on the review result, an applicant may be invited to the school for an interview.

On Tuesday December 18, 2012 the LAU medical Students Association (LAU MSA) organized a Christmas Concert and Gathering.
Around 200 people attended including our dean Dr. Youssef Comair, Faculty members, students, friends and family. The event was held at Maillon The Club, in Centre Sofil, Ashrafieh.

Christmas songs were performed by our own medical students in a warm and joyful ambiance.

All proceeds (2,580,000 LL) will be going to the FEED organization, an NGO that provides food and clothing for families in need.
