Mrs. Cynthia Roukoz, clinical neuropsychologist at the Psychiatry Department's Psychological Assessment Center, presented an interactive and engaging session on "Neuropsychological Screening of Patients with Probable Neurocognitive Disorders" at the 3rd Middle East and North Africa Regional Meeting on Alzheimer’s disease on September 27th, 2019 organized by the LPA and Alzheimer's Association Lebanon.

It is with pride that we share with you the wonderful news about the recognition of six of our department members this week.

During the 6th Annual Clinical Research Open day today, Dr. Olivia Shabb was among the winners of the Best Research Proposal in the Faculty Advancement Program in recognition of an innovative research project; Dr. Wael Shamseddeen received the Best Mentor Award for his outstanding contribution to the Faculty Advancement Program and Dr. Evelyne Baroud was among the winners of a Poster Award in recognition of an outstanding FRRP research poster.

In addition, Ms. Rama Kanj was selected to receive the Dr. Fuad Said Haddad Award in Education, a prestigious award granted to the graduate student in Education who writes the best thesis; and earlier this week, Ms. Sarah Abu Rihan won the Physician’s Award for the Best Inpatient Psychiatry RN and Ms. Anie Belehjan won the Physician's Award for the Best Outpatient Psychiatry RN which they received during the 2019 AUBMC Awards and Recognition ceremony.

Dr. Rasha Mashmoushi and Dr. Marc Barakat from the Psychological Assessment Center alongside Dr. Wael Shamseddeen and Ms. Hala Raad from the division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Program participated in a panel discussion on anti-bullying interventions and policies as part of the Anti-Bullying Campaign organized by FOCUS FUND AT AUBMC and the Department of Psychiatry at AUBMC earlier today.
