Under the auspices of the Minister of Culture, H.E. Dr. Ghattas Khoury, the Communication Arts Department of AUST organized the first-ever Student Film Showcase 2018; the objective of this event is to introduce the students of said department and their work to the real world of business. The showcase featured a red carpet, food, entertainment, and a wall of fame; this was followed by films screening before a full house of film professionals and screen writers, actors and producers.
AUST President Hiam Sakr, representative of the Minister, Mr. Elias Doumar, and Chairperson of the Communication Arts Department, Dr. George Farha, presented trophies to all students/participants in recognition of their work. The event ended with a group picture.
