Equine Facilitated Human Development and Learning (Therapy with horses)
Horsemanship sessions with Horses and riders
Private Addictions Counseling
Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy FELT.Connection (Facilitated Equine-assisted Learning and Therapy) was born as a result of combining a career in addictions counselling and a life long lived passion of being and working with horses. At FELT, the horses
assist us in discovering our inner selves, in increasing our self-awareness, in learning skills to cope and manage difficult thoughts and feelings. FELT.Connection is a therapeutic model of working alongside people with the help of the horses targeting personal awareness and change in any individual that seeks growth, development, support and change in their daily lives. Anyone can seek FELT sessions whether you have difficulties or stress or whether you want to gain more insight about yourself. The horsemanship element of FELT.Connection is available for individuals who want to work on improving their working relationship with their horses. By engaging in ground work, online and liberty, mindfully with the horse, by developing an understanding of the horse's perspective and increasing self-awareness, the connection between the horse and ride can strengthen. With a better connection and alignment, both horse and rider can achieve more desirable goals. For people that struggle with substance use or other behavioural addictive problems, counselling is available in a office-based clinic located in central Beirut. Sometimes the sessions can be combined with Equine therapy depending on suitability of the person. Otherwise, individuals can seek support and treatment for their addiction problems in the clinic only. The counselling model integrates different theories and approaches that have been evidenced to be most beneficial to addiction treatment. More so, research is showing that Equine Facilities activities have positive results for people with addiction problems.
