Every week, a new tool promises to reinvent how your people learn.

This week, over a thousand learners, researchers, and policymakers are gathering to ask a harder question: “What happens when we can no longer be sure what's real?”

Digital Learning Week 2026 runs September 8-11, under the theme "Education in the age of AI: Facts | Frictions | Frontiers." It's a rare moment where the sector is being honest about the messiness, from AI tutors reaching learners who never had support before, to synthetic content reshaping how knowledge gets made to questions about presence and participation that didn't exist five years ago.

We're paying close attention. Not because we sell AI, but because we sell judgment, and judgment is exactly what this moment demands.

Every organization we work with is being asked some version of the same question right now: “Where does AI belong in how our people learn?” The honest answer is rarely "everywhere”. It's usually narrower, and more useful, than that.

AI can personalize a learning path. It can't tell you which behavior needs to change, or why your last training didn't stick. That still takes a strategy, one built on your people's real constraints, not a platform's feature list.

So as the conversations at Digital Learning Week unfold this week, we'll be asking the question underneath all of them: “AI is changing how we learn. What shouldn't change?”

We’d like to know where you land.

We've spent the last few years building learning experiences for people working in humanitarian spaces. A refugee studies course with UNHCR Lebanon. A leadership program for NGO executives with NetHope. An AI literacy program helping nonprofit workers use new tools without losing sight of who they serve.

None of that puts us on the ground. But it means, in a small way, we've helped some of the people who are.

On World Humanitarian Day, we're thinking about them, the ones responding, and the ones preparing to.

Your Arabic course reads perfectly. So why are learners dropping off by module two?

Translation gets the words right. It doesn't always get the experience right, the examples, the visuals, the RTL layout, or the tone. We broke down why translated content often underperforms and what real learning localization takes.

Every July, we mark World Youth Skills Day.

This year's theme, “Skills for a shared future”, is a good reminder that the workplace young people are stepping into looks nothing like the one most of us trained for. Technical knowledge gets someone through the door. What builds a future leader is learning designed around how they work, not a syllabus written for someone else's generation.

What's one skill you wish someone had helped you build earlier in your career?

Most nonprofits don't need another AI course.
They need one that fits their language, their tools, and the way they actually work.

That was NetHope's challenge across a network of more than 60 global nonprofits.
The answer wasn't a single course.
It was one shared architecture, built to be delivered many ways.

How you design learning decides how far it can scale.

See how they did it.

Learning technology is powerful.

But it can’t compensate for unclear goals, misunderstood learners, or content that has no strategic anchor.

The missing step?

Learning strategy. Before anything else.

Our May blog breaks it all down: the five questions every L&D team needs to answer before they open a purchase order and what happens when organizations skip them.

If you’re planning a learning initiative this year or trying to figure out why the last one fell short, this one is worth the read.

Eid al-Adha is a time that always makes you pause and reflect on sacrifice, on generosity, and on what it means to invest in something beyond yourself.

That’s the principle that drives us at Kashida. When organizations are truly invested in the growth of their people, the ripple effect is much larger than a training completion rate or a skills assessment. It’s how individuals show up, how teams come together, and how communities feel the difference.

Wishing you and the people you love a joyful and blessed Eid.

Eid Mubarak, from all of us at Kashida.

Diversity is more than a difference in backgrounds. It's a source of new ideas, stronger collaboration, and meaningful growth.

On World Day for Cultural Diversity, we celebrate the power of inclusive learning to connect people, broaden perspectives, and build atmospheres where everyone can thrive.

Through inclusive learning, we design experiences that respect diverse cultures and help organizations develop talent that makes a positive impact at work and in society.
