PEER-supported research project of Prof. Antoine Ghauch entitled “Enhancing water quality monitoring and improving water disinfection processes in Lebanon” has been selected by the Center for Development Research at USAID to receive the Stakeholder Analysis (SA)/Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP) for technical assistance through RTAC, the Research Technical Assistance Center serving as a strategic resource to USAID (https://www.rtachesn.org/).
PEER 5-18 project (243 k$) is in collaboration with UC-Berkeley (USG Partner Prof. David Sedlak) and managed by the National Academy of Sciences at Washington DC.
The aim of this SA/SEP award is to set the research team up for success in translating future research outputs into development impact.

From polycyclic hydrocarbons to international fraud: technology developed at AUB receives patent and wins international award Associate Professor Antoine Ghauch developed and patented the Smart Anti-Counterfeiting Optical System (SACOS), which won the 2018 TechConnect Defense Innovation Award and can be used to detect fraud and authenticate official currency and documents such as passports and visas.
