A new study conducted by Dr. Jessica Abou Mrad, Assistant Professor at MUBS’s Faculty of Business Administration, offers a comparative analysis of International Monetary Fund (IMF)-supported adjustment programs in Argentina and Lebanon. For Lebanon, where the crisis is compounded by governance failures and geopolitical instability, the study concludes that IMF engagement is not sufficient on its own and that sustainable recovery requires a hybrid strategy combining external financial support with country-specific reforms, including exchange rate unification, banking sector restructuring, debt resolution, stronger governance, and targeted social protection.

The Optometry Department at MUBS organized the “One Purpose, One Vision” event to celebrate two important milestones for junior and senior Optometry students. As part of their anatomy course projects, junior students presented their eye anatomy models on ocular structures and eye conditions. Senior students took the Optometry Oath, symbolizing their commitment to patient care, integrity, and ethical practice as future optometrists. Proud of our students’ dedication and eagerness to become future leaders in eye care!
