Mastercard Foundation Scholars at AUB, Reine Mansour and Philip Mwesigwa participated in the CHLS Research Forum held at HBKU in Doha (on January 28–29), representing AUB alongside other AUB students.

Over two enriching days, they attended research talks by faculty and students, shared their work with the HBKU community and connected with peers and academics, opening doors for learning, collaboration and future opportunities.

The 2025 Baobab Summit took place this year in Nairobi under the inspiring theme “Baobab Rising: Nurturing the Future through Africa’s Youth.”
Fifteen AUB Scholars from 10 countries and 12 majors, including two online Scholars participating in a program event for the first time joined this vibrant gathering.
The energy in the room was unmatched, as our Scholars engaged deeply in conversations and hands-on sessions on transformative leadership, entrepreneurship for social impact, intergenerational dialogue, and the responsible and creative use of AI. The sessions were truly inspirational to all who participated, reflecting the strength, creativity, and determination of youth committed to shaping more just, inclusive, and innovative futures.

We concluded our annual Career Success Series on November 14 with a powerful and engaging session on “Mastering Interviews” delivered by industry expert from Fattal Group, Ms. Suzy Atchabahian in collaboration with the AUB Career Hub.

With 96 Scholars attending (both in person and online), the session provided deep insights into effective interview preparation, the STAR method, and real-world employer expectations. Scholars also had the opportunity to participate in live role-play activities, giving them hands-on practice and immediate feedback.

We extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Suzy Atchabahian and Ms. Grace El Hajj Fattal Group for contributing to the learning journey of our Scholars and helping us close this year’s Career Success Series on such a high note.
