On Friday, our KG students spent a joyful hour filled with fun and engaging activities to help them relax and refresh after the difficult circumstances Lebanon has been through and after returning to in-person learning. 🤍

We changed their mood with a beautiful mix of educational and entertaining activities, giving them a space to smile, play, and simply enjoy being kids again. ✨

✨ نشاط يُفرّغ الطاقة… ويزرع الأمل ✨

بعد ما مرّ به لبنان من ظروف صعبة، كان لا بدّ لأطفال الحلقة الأولى في مدرسة "قصر الثقافة الحديثة" من مساحة تعبّر عن مشاعرهم، وتمنحهم لحظات من الفرح والراحة والأمان النفسي من خلال أنشطة فنية هادفة تجمع بين الترفيه والتعبير الإبداعي. 💛

تضمّن النشاط ثلاث محطات فنية متنوعة:

🎨 نشاط تشكيل الجِبْس (الجفصين) وتلوينه، حيث أتاح للأطفال فرصة التعبير الحرّ عن مشاعرهم وأفكارهم من خلال الألوان والأشكال.

🪴 نشاط الصلصال (Clay)، حيث قام كل طفل بتشكيل مجسّم، كشكل القلب، يعبّر عمّا يشعر به، مما ساعدهم على إطلاق خيالهم والتعبير عن ذواتهم بطريقة مريحة وآمنة.

🌈 نشاط “Texture Art”، حيث استخدم الأطفال المناديل الورقية مع الغراء والألوان لتزيين كلمة “Hope”، في تجربة فنية حسّية عزّزت الإبداع والدقة والعمل الهادئ.

وتعدُّ هذه الأنشطة وسيلة فعّالة لدعم الصحة النفسية لدى الأطفال عبر:

• التفريغ الانفعالي: وسيلة فنية للتعبير عن المشاعر وتخفيف التوتر بطريقة آمنة .
• الثقة بالإنجاز: رؤية الطفل لعمله الفني مكتملاً تعزّز ثقته بنفسه وشعوره بالإنجاز و النجاح.
• الانعكاس الداخلي: يعكس اختيار الألوان والأساليب الفنية مشاعر الطفل ويساعده على توجيهها بصورة إيجابية.
• الدعم الجماعي: تعزّز هذه الأنشطة حب التعاون والانتماء، وتمنح الأطفال مساحة مشتركة من الفرح والراحة.

الفن ليس مجرد نشاط ترفيهي، بل هو مساحة آمنة تمنح الطفل فرصة للتعبير، وتساعده على استعادة طاقته الإيجابية وابتسامته. 🌟

Fifth graders represented the functioning of the digestive system in a creative way. 🌷Each student represented an organ and demonstrated how it works. 😊 The process started with the mouth👄, where food was masticated using Lego blocks to represent food being cut into smaller pieces. A sock🧦 was then used to represent the esophagus, showing how food moves through it by the contraction of the muscles.

The stomach was represented by a bowl, a wooden spoon was used to show brewing, and juice represented gastric juice. The Lego pieces were mixed with the juice using the spoon 🥄to demonstrate digestion in the stomach. Absorption was represented by a sponge that absorbed the liquefied nutrients. The remaining solid waste (Lego pieces) was then pushed into the large intestine, represented by another sock. Peristaltic movements in the large intestine were shown using hand movements to demonstrate muscle contraction. Finally, the solid wastes were eliminated from the body through the a**s.

Students selected a shape from the bag, hopped through the hula hoops, and carefully matched it to the correct shape on the board.
This hands-on activity supported shape recognition, problem-solving, and gross motor development—all at the same time! 🤍💜

KG2 students had so much fun learning letters through play.They explored a mysterious box filled with letters and matched them on a letter board. When students picked an uppercase letter from the box, they searched for and circled its matching lowercase letter on the board. When students found a lowercase letter, they circled the corresponding uppercase letter.This hands-on activity helped strengthen letter recognition, matching skills, and early literacy in an engaging and interactive way. 🔡🔠💌
