Arab Vocational Institute (AVI) is a private Vocational Education Institute in Lebanon in the following majors and specializations: hotel management, nursery education, computer sciences, nursing, business management and banking sciences, in addition to many other specializations, including teaching of English and French languages skills. Al Hussein Bin Ali Institute was established in 1980 by an
initiative of the President of the Educational Arab Institutes Est., Former PM Doctor Hussein Ali Yatim. Due to the success achieved by this institute, the administration initiated an expansion program of the educational activities. It added new specializations and branches, such as the American Technical Academy (ATA), and a tourism center that provides ticketing training, and Venus Aesthetic Academy. These branches were introduced to meet the needs of the communities in Beirut and its suburbs. Arab Vocational Institute (AVI) is a higher education institute, specialized in providing technical and vocational education in an era since Lebanon is in crucial need for this kind of education that goes in line with the globalization and high-tech. The curriculum adopted in the institute is the same as of the states, either by following or in parallel with international curriculums. The institute is also accredited to provide advanced information technology programs according to agreements concluded with Microsoft and its examination centers, Certiport and Pearson VUE, that provide MOS, MTA, MCTS, MCITP and other exams. Studying at this institute leads to the granting of the following degrees: Professional Brevet, Technical Baccalaureate and Technical Superiority. The mentioned degrees are bestowed upon students who pass the official exams in the accredited specializations and majors by the Lebanese state. As for the degrees of special majors in all the mentioned technologies and authorized majors, they are conferred upon the students who pass the academic exam pursuant to an academic diploma that is issued by the administration and certified by the Ministry of Education, Department of Vocational & Technical Education. It should be noted that studying at Arab Vocational Institute (AVI) is conducted in three languages: English, French and Arabic. Also, the programs of the institute provide the new generations with higher degrees, skills, and experience that create more job opportunities and brighter future for them.
