We are happy to announce the appointment of Mrs. Wadad Wazen Gergy, Director of CINIA at USJ, as a NUMŪ Ambassador by the Ministry of Technology & Artificial Intelligence (MITAI).

This prestigious appointment underscores USJ’s leadership in advancing digital transformation and artificial intelligence in Lebanon. It reflects the University's unwavering commitment to empowering individuals and institutions through innovation, education, and the responsible adoption of emerging technologies.

As NUMŪ Ambassador, Mrs. Wazen will play a strategic role in strengthening collaboration between USJ and MITAI, championing national AI and digital skills initiatives, and expanding opportunities for students, educators, researchers, and professionals to engage with Lebanon’s growing digital ecosystem.

Through a range of specialized training tracks—including Microsoft AI Academy, Lebanon Coding, and Digital Literacy & Inclusion—NUMŪ offers accessible, high-quality, and industry-relevant learning opportunities designed to equip learners with future-ready competencies and address the evolving needs of the workforce.

Through CINIA, USJ continues to contribute actively to shaping a future-ready generation equipped with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to drive innovation and support Lebanon’s digital transformation journey.

Together, we are building a digitally empowered and AI-ready Lebanon.

Une délégation de l’Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth (USJ), présidée par le Recteur, le Pr François Boëdec s.j., et composée des vice-recteurs Pr Salah Abou Jaoudé s.j., Pr Toufic Rizk, Pr Fadi Geara et Pr Richard Maroun, ainsi que du Secrétaire général de l’Université Pr Nadine Riachi, a rendu visite au Président de l’American University of Beirut (AUB), le Pr Fadlo R. Khuri, le mercredi 3 juin 2026.

Cette rencontre a permis de réaffirmer les liens historiques qui unissent les deux institutions et d’explorer de nouvelles perspectives de collaboration dans les domaines de l’enseignement supérieur, de la recherche et du service à la société. Dans un contexte où le Liban a plus que jamais besoin de solidarité, d’innovation et d’excellence, l’USJ et l’AUB réitèrent leur engagement commun au service de la jeunesse, du savoir et de l’avenir du pays.

Pr Nada Moghaizel-Nasr, Doyenne honoraire, Déléguée du Recteur de l’USJ et Présidente de la Commission nationale libanaise de l'Unesco a donné une conférence le lundi premier juin, au Campus du Liban Nord de l’USJ, intitulée « Les neurosciences cognitives au service de l’apprentissage à l’ère de l’IA ».
