Arts, Sciences and Technology University in Lebanon is an independent and not for profit and nondenominational Lebanese higher education institution with undergraduate and graduate degree programs. AUL gained accreditation by the Lebanese Ministry of Higher Education in the year 2000 under the name of “Business and Computer University College” (BCU) with two faculties but later expanded by adding

the faculty of Arts and Humanities to the Business Administration, and Sciences and Fine Arts faculties thus gaining the University status and changed its name to meet the expansion of its major offerings.[1]

In 2007, BCU changed to become Arts, Sciences and Technology University in Lebanon (AUL); including 4 major faculties:

زار وفدٌ من جامعة الآداب والعلوم والتكنولوجيا في لبنان (AUL) المدير العام للتعليم العالي الدكتور مازن الخطيب، في مكتبه بمقر وزارة التربية والتعليم العالي في بيروت، لتهنئته بتعيينه بالأصالة في منصبه الجديد، وتباحث الطرفان في عدد من القضايا والشؤون الأكاديمية المشتركة.
ضمّ الوفد رئيس الجامعة البروفيسور فواز العمر، ونائبيه الدكتور عدنان شعبان والدكتور محمد عيتاني، وعميدة كلية الآداب والعلوم الإنسانية الدكتورة آمنة المير، ومدير فرع طرابلس الدكتور عمر كوسا، والدكتور خالد مشرف.
وشكّلت الزيارة مناسبة لمناقشة بعض الأمور الأكاديمية وترسيخ معايير الجودة والاعتماد الأكاديمي، حيث أشار البروفيسور العمر إلى أن تولي الدكتور الخطيب لهذه المسؤولية يشكل دفعاً لجهود تطوير قطاع التعليم العالي وتعزيز استقراره المؤسسي.
من جهته، رحّب الدكتور الخطيب بوفد الجامعة شاكرا لهم هذه الزيارة واختُتم اللقاء بتقديم درع تكريمي للمدير العام مع التأكيد على التنسيق المستمر بين المديرية العامة للتعليم العالي وجامعة (AUL) لمواكبة التطورات الأكاديمية وتوفير بيئة تعليمية تلبي تطلعات الطلاب.

وقّعت جامعة الآداب والعلوم والتكنولوجيا في لبنان (AUL) اتفاقية تعاون مع شركة(ITLS) الرائدة في خدمات تكنولوجيا المعلومات بحضور رئيس الجامعة البروفسور فواز العمر ورئيس الشركة الأستاذ طارق الباشا.
وحضر حفل التوقيع نواب الرئيس: الدكتور عدنان شعبان، الدكتور وائل حمزة، والدكتور محمد عيتاني، والعمداء: الدكتور محمد حمزة والدكتورة آمنة المير، إضافة إلى ممثل كلية الهندسة الدكتور خالد مشرف.
وتستهدف الاتفاقية بناء شراكة عمل بين الجانبين ترتكز على تنظيم دورات تخصصية في تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي موجهة للكادرين التعليمي والإداري للارتقاء بالأساليب الأكاديمية، وللطلاب لتزويدهم بالمهارات التقنية المتقدمة، مع إتاحة الفرصة للمشاركين لنيل شهادات تخصصية معتمدة، إلى جانب مواءمة المقررات الدراسية مع المستجدات التكنولوجية ومعايير سوق العمل الحديثة، بما يفتح آفاقاً جديدة للخريجين ويهيئهم لخوض سوق العمل بكفاءة.

Arts, Sciences and Technology University in Lebanon (AUL) signed a cooperation agreement with Information Technology Leading services (ITLS), in the presence of the University President, Professor Fawaz El Omar, and the President of the company, Mr. Tarek El Bacha.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Vice Presidents: Dr. Adnan Shaaban, Dr. Wael Hamzeh, and Dr. Mohammad itani; the Deans Dr. Mohammad Hamzeh and Dr. Amina El Mir; as well as the representative of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Khaled Moshref.
The agreement aims to build a joint partnership focused on organizing specialized training courses in artificial intelligence applications for both academic and administrative staff to enhance educational methodologies, and for students to equip them with advanced technical skills. It also provides participants with the opportunity to earn accredited professional certifications, alongside aligning academic curricula with technological advancements and modern job market standards, thereby opening new horizons for graduates and effectively preparing them to enter the workforce.
Professor Fawaz El Omar pointed out that this step falls within the university’s strategy to develop its educational environment by integrating AI technologies into academic programs, ensuring higher quality learning outcomes and preparing graduates according to the highest standards.
