The mission of the Lebanese International University is to provide accessible & affordable education

The Lebanese International University (LIU) was established in April, 2001, under Presidential Decree No. 5294 as "The Bekaa University", with its campus in Bekaa, Al-Khyara, Al Bekaa Al Gharbi, and has since graduated its first Freshman class in June 2002. With a vision of becoming a true national university with international presence, a new campus in Beirut was opened and the name was changed to: "Lebanese International University (LIU)".

The PREL 405 Public Relations Event Management class, supervised by Mr. Mohamad Abdallah, organized a special campus initiative. To mark the return to education in the post-war period, the organizers coordinated a series of activities and distributed roses to students and faculty members throughout the Beirut campus.

This gesture serves as a tribute to the incredible resilience of our academic community. Beyond the books and lectures, today was about celebrating the strength it took to return and the hope we share for the future.

Lebanese International University, in partnership with DOT Lebanon, successfully delivered the Amazon Web Services (AWS) re/Start Learner Program over a period of four months.

Through this intensive training, 25 students gained hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining cloud applications, strengthening their AWS Cloud competencies and preparing for entry-level careers in cloud computing.

The Biological and Chemical Sciences Department at Lebanese International University – Rayak Campus successfully conducted the seminar “Safe Fasting: Managing Diabetes during Ramadan,” presented by Dr. Ali Mourad.

The seminar provided valuable medical insights and practical recommendations to support safe and healthy fasting during the holy month.
