9- Ask for help: go to the library: Because librarians are always here for your questions👩‍🏫


10- Bring your research up to date: Pay attention of the publication date of the source: to get recent information.✔



11- Be satisfied of the end of your research: because satisfaction is the key of success.✌

When you have a research🔍 you need to have different sources of information (Books, articles, Journals...)📖🗞💻



And to be more professional, it's very important to know how to cite a source and how to use the list of sources in the end of research📋✏



But first you should know some differences between "Citation" and "Reference"💡

○ Citation ==>

-Specific source.
-Used in the body of the text.
-Represented by the name of author and the date or the number of range.


Example: (Hugo,2014, p.8) ; (1) .

○ Reference ==>

-List of sources.
-Used at the end of the work.
-Represented by the name of author, title of source, date, numbers of pages, volume, number, publishers, link... .

NOTE: all the citations in the text should be listed at the end of work.

Students and researchers should know one of the important step in research: "Evaluating Information Sources"🔍✏📰📚📑💻 .


==> 5 factors to evaluate Information sources👩‍💻:


1- Authority:

It's important to know ==> .
• The Author (person or organization)
•Qualifications of the author(experience, education...) .
• The Publisher (website, personnal blog, journal, commercial publisher...)



2- Quality&Accuracy:


The information should be well research ==>
• Information should be verifiable in another source.

• The sources should have references , citations, bibliography, footnotes.
• The Information must be based on observations, analyses, interpretations and conclusions.



3- Purpose&Audience:


Researchers should know==> •The purpose of the sources (Provide information, adversting or marketing...)

• The audience of the sources (academic researchers, public, students...)



4-Objectivity:
•Evaluate if the sources contain opinions or facts.

• Does the author provide more than one point of view?



5- Date:
•Information recent? Time of publication? 💡

1- Identify the subject by: • answering 5 questions about the subject : ❓
- Who?

-How?
-Why?
-Where?


• Using Keywords related to the subject ⌨




2- Locate the resources and select the documents and relevant sources.📚📰📑🗞💻



3- Extract the best Information related to the subject.🔍



4- Analyse , evaluate(the date, author, importance of publication...) and synthesize the Information selected.




5- Revise, present and transfer the Information in the best way according to the standards and ethics of Information (citations, Bibliography, copyright...) .
