Food is not just ingredients…it is the identity of a country.🇱🇧🇱🇧
It is the identity of our villages, the ones we will return to very soon, filling their corners once again with the aroma of our Southern Lebanese food.
Among these dishes, simple in its ingredients yet rich in its history, is a plate of Mjaddara Hamra, made of lentils, bulgur, and a generous amount of deeply caramelized onions, cooked until they reach that perfect, almost burnt flavor. It is then finished with plenty of rich Southern olive oil on top.
Our South of Lebanon, filled with heritage and traditional food, is something we will preserve no matter the cost.
And those who occupy our land, coming from here and there, have no land, no identity, no history, and no food of their own.
They only try to take our land, our identity, and our heritage, but they will inevitably go back to where they came from.
Very soon, we will be eating a plate of Mjaddara Hamra again in our village in the South. 🇱🇧✌️

Language is never neutral. 🌍🚩
The words we use to describe our home, our history, and our struggles weren’t always chosen by us.
Many terms we use daily—like "Middle East"—were actually coined by colonial powers to describe our region based on its distance from their capitals.
When we use the colonizer’s dictionary, we accidentally inherit their worldview. It’s time to decolonize our vocabulary and call things by their true names. 🗣️✨
Swipe through to see 4 simple shifts you can make to reclaim the narrative. ➡️
Which of these terms do you use most often? Let’s talk in the comments. 👇

القوانين الدولية
قوانين حماية المدنيين
قوانين حماية الصحفيين
قوانين حماية المسعفين
طلعت كلها كذبة أول نيسان
International laws
Laws protecting civilians
Laws protecting journalists
Laws protecting paramedics
turned out to be all April Fools’ jokes.
Welcome to a world filled with liars

We have no other choice but to keep going
For our country
For our people
For our language
From where we’ve been displaced, we’re still spreading our language to the world
And we’ll be back home very soon ✌🏻✌🏻🇱🇧🇱🇧🇱🇧

In times of war, there is no neutrality — you either stand with your country, or you stand with your country 🇱🇧🇱🇧🇱🇧

Lebanese Arabic is dramatic by nature 😄🇱🇧
We don’t just say we’re hungry…
We say we’re dead from hunger.
These expressions aren’t meant to be taken literally —
they’re part of how Lebanese people express emotions in daily life.

Did you know Arabic has a **dual form**? 👀
Not just singular.
Not just plural.
But a special form used **only for two**.
Once you understand this, Arabic starts to make a lot more sense —
especially in **Lebanese Arabic**, where it’s used naturally in daily speech.

Want to say your nationality in Lebanese Arabic the right way? 🇱🇧
Good news: it’s simple once you know the pattern.
And yes — masculine and feminine matter in Arabic 😉
This is how Lebanese people actually say it in real life,
not textbook Arabic.

**Lebanese Arabic is the only Arabic you need** 🇱🇧
If your goal is to:
✔️ talk to family and friends
✔️ feel confident in real conversations
✔️ stop freezing when you speak
Then textbook Arabic won’t get you there.
Lebanese people don’t speak MSA in daily life.
They speak **Lebanese Arabic** — emotional, natural, and real.
That’s why learning the dialect first helps you:
• speak faster
• connect better
• stay motivated
**Confidence comes from speaking, not memorizing rules.**
