Learning Continues, Even in Difficult Times

MMKN, in collaboration with PM Dr. Inaya Ezzeddine , is currently conducting in-person educational sessions at Al Batrakieh School for 40 students from Grades 1 to 7.

The sessions are led by 7 volunteers, including 3 MMKN volunteers and 4 newly trained volunteers from the displaced community.

The volunteers received training from Mr. Nizar Rammal (For Development), who generously volunteered his expertise. MMKN Chairperson Ms. Ghada Feghali also joined the training to guide and support the volunteers.

To create a supportive learning space inside the shelter, MMKN provided:
• Stationery
• Art supplies
• Official school textbooks
• MMKN “Feel Good” manuals

Through these efforts, MMKN aims to restore a sense of normalcy, stability, and hope for children, even during the most challenging times.



التعليم مستمر رغم الظروف الصعبة

تقوم MMKN بالتعاون مع دولة الرئيس الدكتورة عناية عز الدين بتنفيذ جلسات تعليمية حضورية في مدرسة البطركية لصالح 40 طالبًا من الصف الأول حتى السابع.

يقود هذه الجلسات 7 متطوعين، بينهم 3 متطوعين من MMKN و 4 متطوعين جدد من المجتمع النازح.

وقد تلقّى المتطوعون تدريبًا من السيد نزار رمال (For Development) الذي تطوّع بوقته وخبرته، بحضور رئيسة الجمعية السيدة غادة فغالي التي شاركت بتوجيه المتطوعين ودعمهم.

ولتوفير بيئة تعليمية داعمة داخل مركز الإيواء، قدّمت MMKN:
• قرطاسية
• أدوات فنية
• نسخ من الكتب المدرسية
• كتيّبات Feel Good الخاصة بـ MMKN

بهذه المبادرة، تسعى MMKN إلى إعادة الأمل والاستقرار والشعور بالحياة الطبيعية للأطفال رغم الظروف الصعبة.

The Beiruter | The war’s interrupted classrooms How displaced children in Beirut shelters continue learning and playing through improvised classes and activities organized by volunteers and NGOs amid Lebanon’s ongoing war.

While war continues to threaten daily life in South Lebanon, the students of Ali Abdallah Public School in Khiyam refuse to let it steal their future. With MMKN, they continue attending their reinforcement sessions — even “under fire.”

In the face of uncertainty, these students show extraordinary courage and determination. Their message is clear: education will not stop, and hope will not be silenced.

We extend our deep gratitude to Ms. Norma Zalzali, the school principal, whose leadership and unwavering commitment ensure that learning continues despite the circumstances.

To our students and volunteers: your resilience is stronger than the war.



بينما تستمر الحرب في تهديد الحياة اليومية في جنوب لبنان، يرفض طلاب مدرسة علي عبدالله الرسمية في الخيام أن تسرق الحرب مستقبلهم. مع جمعية ممكن (MMKN)، يواصلون حضور جلسات الدعم التعليمي حتى تحت القصف.

في وجه الخوف والظروف الصعبة، يثبت هؤلاء الطلاب شجاعة وإصراراً استثنائيين. رسالتهم واضحة: التعليم لن يتوقف، والأمل لن يُقصف.

كل الشكر والتقدير لمديرة المدرسة الأستاذة نورما زلزلي على قيادتها والتزامها الكبير في ضمان استمرار التعليم رغم كل الظروف.

MMKN Psychosocial & Education Support at the Evangelical School – Ras Beirut

MMKN continues to support displaced students through psychosocial and educational activities at the Evangelical School in Ras Beirut. Our volunteers are working closely with students to provide a safe space where they can learn, express themselves, and regain a sense of stability during these challenging times.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers, whose dedication, compassion, and commitment make these sessions possible. Your time, energy, and care are bringing hope and encouragement to students who need it most.

A special thank you to for your visit, support, and trust in our work. Your encouragement strengthens our efforts to stand by students and ensure that education and well-being remain a priority.

تواصل جمعية ممكن (MMKN) تقديم أنشطة الدعم النفسي والاجتماعي والتعليمية للطلاب النازحين في المدرسة الإنجيلية في رأس بيروت. يعمل متطوعونا مع الطلاب لتوفير مساحة آمنة تساعدهم على التعلّم والتعبير عن أنفسهم واستعادة شعور الاستقرار خلال هذه الظروف الصعبة.

Learning continues, even in difficult times.

MMKN volunteers have started reinforcement sessions for displaced students at the Evangelical School in Ras Beirut, providing academic support and a safe learning environment for children affected by the ongoing crisis.

Through these sessions, volunteers are helping students stay connected to their education, regain confidence, and find stability during a challenging period.

We are proud of the dedication and compassion of our volunteers who continue to stand by students and support their right to learn.



التعلّم يستمر حتى في أصعب الظروف.

باشر متطوعو جمعية ممكن (MMKN) بتنظيم جلسات دعم وتقوية تعليمية للطلاب النازحين في المدرسة الإنجيلية في رأس بيروت، بهدف مساعدة الأطفال المتأثرين بالأوضاع الحالية على متابعة تعليمهم في بيئة آمنة وداعمة.

من خلال هذه الجلسات، يعمل المتطوعون على مساعدة الطلاب في استعادة ثقتهم بأنفسهم ومواصلة مسيرتهم التعليمية رغم التحديات.
