Trois programmes de L’ESIB ont obtenu l’accréditation ABET. We are proud to congratulate our students Nour Saba, Karl Azzi, and Christopher Akiki on winning 3rd Prize at the Renewable Energy Final-Year Project Competition 2026, organized by the Lebanese Solar Energy Society (LSES).

Their award-winning project, “Design and Optimization of Wave Energy Floaters for Sustainable Marine Power Generation,” focused on the development of an optimized near-shore wave energy converter. By integrating hydrodynamic simulations, material selection, design optimization, and prototype development, the team demonstrated the technical feasibility of converting wave-induced motion into electrical power, reinforcing the potential of marine renewable energy as a key contributor to the future energy landscape.

This distinction follows ESIB–USJ’s First Prize in the 2025 edition of the same competition, reflecting the School’s sustained commitment to academic excellence, research, and innovation.

We extend our sincere congratulations to the students and their academic supervisors for this remarkable achievement.

The CCE Department at ESIB – USJ had the privilege of hosting Anthony Assi, Technical Advisor and AI Product Architect at Corporation, for an inspiring online masterclass on Prompt Engineering.

Organized by the IEEE Student Club, this high-level session invited participants to move beyond casual interaction with AI tools and approach Large Language Models as deterministic programming interfaces. The masterclass explored foundational concepts such as tokenization, advanced prompting frameworks including Few-Shot Prompting, CO-STAR, and Chain-of-Thought, and featured practical demonstrations that transformed simple prompts into production-grade workflows.

With more than 20 years of experience in Silicon Valley and leadership roles at Google, Dell EMC, and Thales Group, Anthony shared valuable insights into designing reliable, scalable, and future-ready AI systems.

As an ESIB alumnus, Anthony once again reaffirmed his strong and enduring bond with his alma mater.
