We are proud to congratulate our students Nour Saba, Karl Azzi, and Christopher Akiki on winning 3rd Prize at the Renewable Energy Final-Year Project Competition 2026, organized by the Lebanese Solar Energy Society (LSES).
Their award-winning project, “Design and Optimization of Wave Energy Floaters for Sustainable Marine Power Generation,” focused on the development of an optimized near-shore wave energy converter. By integrating hydrodynamic simulations, material selection, design optimization, and prototype development, the team demonstrated the technical feasibility of converting wave-induced motion into electrical power, reinforcing the potential of marine renewable energy as a key contributor to the future energy landscape.
This distinction follows ESIB–USJ’s First Prize in the 2025 edition of the same competition, reflecting the School’s sustained commitment to academic excellence, research, and innovation.
We extend our sincere congratulations to the students and their academic supervisors for this remarkable achievement.
