This 1960s Italian coffee table was designed in the shape of a classic wristwatch.

Made by DS in Florence, it combines a carved solid wood “strap” with a brass watch case, glass dial, Roman numerals, and gold-tone hands. The result is both functional furniture and a sculptural design object.

A 101-meter Jesus Christ monument is taking shape on Mount Hatis in Armenia.

Initiated by businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, the project includes a 33-meter figure of Christ rising above a massive pedestal and visitor complex. If completed as planned, it could become the world’s largest Jesus Christ monument.

The project has also been controversial. The Armenian Apostolic Church has opposed the idea of a freestanding Christ statue, while heritage concerns around Mount Hatis — including ancient remains near the site — led to delays and changes to the original location.

After years of stops and revisions, construction has resumed, with completion now tentatively planned for 2027.
