Armenian Evangelical Boarding School - Anjar Home away from home...full of God's provision and love... It is a joint Swiss and German mission. For many years the mission has been responsible of the project.

The Boarding Section of the Armenian Evangelical Secondary School in Anjar was established in 1947 by the efforts of the Hilfsbund mission. The boarding provides social and education care for about 70 students. Some of these students come from families with major social problems. Boarders (boys and girls) stay in three separate departments (Big boys' Building, Little Boys' Building and Girls' Buil

ding) for 9 months of the year. The boarding accepts students of (4-18) years old. A student to be in the boarding one should also attend the regular Armenian Evangelical School of Anjar. Thus it is not an orphanage but part of an educational institution. In the year 2014, the responsibility of the work was totally transferred to the Union of the Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Near East.

At the Armenian Evangelical Boarding School of Anjar, we commemorate the 111th year of the Armenian Genocide by honoring our ancestors and praising God for His unwavering faithfulness.
We find strength in the legacy of Rev. Dikran Antreasian, whose courage during the Musa Dagh resistance served as a powerful model of faith for our students today.
Let us continue our journey with his same steadfast faith, trusting in the Lord to guide and sustain us for generations to come.

In front of the wall they painted in 2024, a dove of peace born in the middle of war, our students gathered again with praises and worship… now facing another war.

With deep sorrow, the Armenian Evangelical Boarding School of Anjar mourns the passing of Mrs. Arpine Joulfaian.

She faithfully served for many years as the leader of the Girls’ Building, offering generations of students care, guidance, and a motherly presence. Alongside her family, she devotedly supported the boarding ministry until her final days.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and pray that her memory remains a lasting blessing.

Christmas is drawing near and our students at the Armenian Evangelical Boarding School are filling the campus with worship, joy, and heartfelt gratitude.

With thankful hearts, the students of the Armenian Evangelical Boarding School of Anjar, the Director of CAHL, and the committee members of the Armenian Evangelical Church of Anjar gathered to celebrate God’s goodness and abundant blessings.
Together, we joyfully remembered the devoted missionaries who planted the seeds of faith, began the Harvest Day tradition, and founded the mission of the Boarding Department.

The coworkers of the Armenian Evangelical Boarding School of Anjar gathered for a special training day focused on effective communication, self-awareness, and keeping Jesus Christ as our ultimate role model as we serve in the boarding school.

The training was led by Rev. Hrayr Cholakian and Mrs. Garine Cholakian, who guided us with wisdom and practical insights. The day began with a beautiful time of worship led by Mrs. Nanor Akbasharian, followed by an uplifting spiritual message shared by Pastor Asadour Mencherian, which encouraged and inspired us all.

We were also very happy to welcome Ms. Rahel Spangenberg, who shared cherished memories with the coworkers as well as thoughtful and meaningful messages.

We thank our Lord for this blessed time of learning, fellowship, and renewal as we continue to grow together in our service.
