Sharon International School Cambridge International School. Children are our Future The Sharon International school was established in 2004 in Vientiane, the capital of Laos.

Since 2005, equipping learners with character, critical thinking, creativity, communication and cooperation through a learner-centered and experiential approach. It was started to provide and offer an excellent education in a safe and healthy environment. The SIS desires to provide a high standard, international-level education (https://www.cambridgeinternational.org) at an affordable price for both the international and Lao community. With Cambridge International curriculum, SIS hopes that the learners become confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged. This institution understands that the children are the future, and they will decide how the world will run even after we are no longer around. Therefore, it is our goal to raise children up to be fun-loving, educationally-minded, well-behaved, good people, and capable of shaping a better world for the future.

We are truly grateful to our dear parents who joined us yesterday for our Open House!
It was a wonderful opportunity for our parents to see, experience, and be a part of their children’s learning environment. Most of all, our learners were overjoyed to have their parents with them in their classrooms, proudly sharing their learning and experiences.

We are truly grateful to our dear parents who joined us yesterday for our Open House!

It was a wonderful opportunity for our parents to see, experience, and be a part of their children’s learning environment. Most of all, our learners were overjoyed to have their parents with them in their classrooms, proudly sharing their learning and experiences.

Our Grade 2 learners were excited to put their skills into action! 🚌🚲🚶‍♀️

They practiced asking questions, gathering information, and interacting with learners from different grade levels as they conducted a survey to find out which modes of transportation are safe, effective, and suitable for SIS learners when travelling to school.

What a wonderful opportunity for our young learners to build their communication, research, and critical-thinking skills while learning from others! 💙📚✨

Sharon International School, through the initiative of our Directors, together with The MANRIHYUN Community Scholarship Association, is honoured to provide 24 scholarships to students of the Faculty of Economics and Tourism at Souphanouvong University in Luang Prabang Laos.

This initiative is part of our shared commitment to making a meaningful and lasting impact in the community here in Laos by supporting students in their educational journey and helping create opportunities for a brighter future.

We are grateful to be part of this meaningful endeavour and look forward to seeing these students grow, learn, and make a positive difference in their communities.

🌟 Curious Minds, Responsible Learners! 🌟

Our Grade 1 learners are getting out of their chairs and tables to collaborate, share ideas, and learn together as they practise how to form meaningful questions, identify who to ask each question and distinguish between facts and opinions in Global Perspectives. 🌍💡
They also showed responsibility by using materials safely, returning them to their proper places, and keeping their learning spaces clean. 🤝🧹✨

Last Friday, we kicked off our Extracurricular Activities (ECAs) for Term 1, and it was an exciting and meaningful experience for our learners! From creative arts and music to sports, cooking, and technology, our learners had the opportunity to explore new interests, develop their skills, and enjoy learning beyond the classroom.

This term, our ECAs include:

🍰 Baking/Cooking - in partnership with Love Life Cafe
🎨 Painting - in partnership with The Art House Cafe
🤖 Robotics - in partnership with ClickRobot
🏊 Swimming - with a Lao national swimming team coach
🎾 Tennis - with a certified tennis instructor from Tennis Big Hitter
🎸 Guitar/Ukulele/Drums - with a skilled and experienced instrumentalist

It was wonderful to see our learners learning, creating, exploring, and having fun as they embarked on these exciting learning experiences. We hope these activities will help them grow in confidence, discover new passions, and develop valuable skills along the way. 🌟

We are truly grateful to our parents for supporting and allowing our learners to take part in these activities, and to our ECA partners and instructors for sharing their expertise and helping our learners learn and grow.
