*DEATH, A GATEWAY*
*TO ETERNITY*

*The* journey of eternal life with God in heaven begins at birth for everyone on Earth. Every newborn baby qualifies for heaven before reaching the age of accountability. In other words, if a newborn baby dies before the age of five, they will certainly return to God in heaven from where they came. However, a child becomes accountable for their actions when they consciously choose to sin against God and the people around them. Unless such a child repents and forsakes their sin, they will not gain entrance into God’s kingdom in heaven if they die suddenly.
*Honestly* speaking, eternity is as long as God lives and God is immutable. Dear friend, eternity has no end. It has just begun when a three-year-old boy finishes emptying the sea with a small cup in his hand. Everyone’s eternal abode will be either with God in heaven or with Satan in hell, depending on who they follow and serve while on earth. It is very clear that God created everyone to serve Him exclusively, without any rivals. However, the devil desires control, dominion, and the worship of men instead of God, who created them. Isaiah wrote—*For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: [14] I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High*. Isaiah 14:13-14.
*Until* now, the devil has controlled greater percentage of the world’s population. They imbibe Satan’s ideology, lordship, and dominion over them in all they do. Unfortunately, many people don’t know that following Satan will lead them to eternal separation from God. They sin with impunity, not knowing that the consequence of sin is eternal death if they die suddenly without declaring their faith in Jesus Christ.
*Records* of the Bible shows that death can claim anyone without a word of warning. The Rapture of the Saints can also happen when it is least expected. King Herod never knew he was making his last speech; he was immediately stricken dead by God’s angel because he gave an oration without giving glory to God. Similarly, Abner never suspected that Joab was hiding a dagger in his hand, and he was stabbed to death without any preparation for eternity.
*Seek* God wholeheartedly every day and live for Him every single moment of your life. This is highly important because no one knows what the next minute will bring. Solomon, wrote—*For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them* Ecclesiastes 9:12. Dear reader, the physical death of man on the earth is the gateway to the beginning of eternity with God or Satan.
*Dear* reader, physical death will lead to eternal life with God if the deceased lived in holiness and reflected the character of God. The poor man, Lazarus, died physically and entered paradise, whereas the rich man died and went straight to hell." *There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: [22] And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; [23] And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom*. Luke 16:19,22-23. Where will you spend eternity? With God or with the devil?
*Always* remember that your life may end today or anytime from now. How prepared are you to meet the Lord? Surprisingly, people prepare for meals to avoid going hungry. Marriage is adequately prepared for not to be put to shame before the invited guests. But it is unfortunate that many don’t prepare for their eternal home in heaven.
*Yokefellows*, eternity is near. It behooves us to run away from any heart-corrupting festivities and life-polluting activities. Doing this will make us worthy and ready for death or departure from this world."
Isaiah wrote *In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live*. Isaiah 38:1. In the light of this, do the following to be adequately ready for either death or the Rapture of the Saints.
1. *Repent* of all sins while there’s hope for you
2. *Restore* the properties in your custody that are not yours
3. *Right* all wrongs in your home and neighborhoods
4. *Restitute* where necessary. If you don’t, it will hinder you from being Raptured
5. *Repair* all broken relationships to free your conscience from guilts
6. *Resist* the devil to escape his subtle temptations
7. *Rededicate* your life to God on daily basis
8. *Remain* in the faith till the end of your life on earth
May God grant us the grace to be fully ready for death or the Rapture of the Saints to reign with God throughout eternity in Jesus mighty name🙏🙏🙏

*WHAT WISDOM MEANS*

TEXT: JAMES 3:14-18

[14] But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

[15] This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

[16] For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

[17] But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

[18] And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

KEY VERSE: "This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish" (JAMES 3:15).

Someone once sought to characterise the essence of true wisdom and came to the profound conclusion that there are people who are wiser than they seem, and there are those that seem wiser than they are. This knowledge comes as you closely observe such people. Sometimes, this is where you see people you thought were wise acting foolishly.

The Apostle James pointed out that there are tell-tale signs of wisdom or lack of it. Sometimes, we are astounded by the depth of bitterness and envy that some people who claim to be wise harbour towards others, for whatever reason. While this may be less shocking in the normal course of things in the world, among believers, it is forbidden. The Apostle admonished those who go about life with strife in the heart not to be proud of it but to be sincere and tell themselves the truth that they have missed their way. He said that such characteristics are not gifts from heaven but originate from the world. They are sensual and devilish. They can only promote confusion, whereas the wisdom from God is pure, peaceful, gentle, not making one incorrigible, but merciful, impartial and not hypocritical. He described this as the fruit of righteousness that flows naturally from those who have made peace with God and are now peacemakers themselves.

Our character is the clearest measure of whether we are wise or not. It shows through our actions whether we are bearing good or bad fruits. We should wisely promote peace and avoid any form of disorder or confusion. We should not envy anyone for achieving success in life, nor harbour bitterness or seek revenge for any wrong done to us.

Our ambitions, desires and actions must be wholly in tune with the will of God and not driven by the counsel of men to blow our trumpet. This is the wisdom that God gives, and getting it delivers us from all forms of lusts, carnality and greed. If you lack this wisdom, you can ask the Lord, and He will give it to you.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Wisdom is not the ability to outwit others, but the capacity to stay the course with God.

*KEEP ETERNITY IN FOCUS*

TEXT: ECCLESIASTES 1:1-7

[1] The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.

[2] Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.

[3] What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?

[4] One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.

[5] The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose.

[6] The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits.

[7] All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.

KEY VERSE: "Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity" (ECCLESIASTES 1:2).

American historian William Hendrick Van loon once sought to describe eternity and came up with this legend: "High up in the North, in the land called Svthjod, there stands a rock. It is one hundred miles high and ten miles wide. Once every one thousand years, a little bird comes to this rock to sharpen its beak. When the rock has thus been worn away (from this activity), then a single day of eternity will have gone by."

Today's passage explains the transitory nature of life and the futility of human endeavours without acknowledging God. Surprisingly, men hardly learn from history but keep pursuing shadows. "What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?"

Eternity is viewed and perceived differently by various schools of thought. To some, it is a mirage, a religious concoction by religious overlords to enslave the ignorant and keep them as perpetual stooges. Others, superstitiously, assume people reincarnate after death, which is reflected in the names given to offspring at birth in some climes.

What, then, is eternity, and how does one live in its light? From the biblical point of view, eternity is associated with timelessness, a realm not bound by time, where the past, the present, and the future meet. It is associated with infinity. That is, an existence without end or bounds. It is also explained as the perpetual existence of God. It is the nature or attribute of God. The creation story relates man to God; like Him, all humans will exist forever. Apostle Paul corroborates the same truth in Acts 17:28 - "For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring." The physical body houses the soul and spirit. When death comes, the soul leaves the body and will continue to live forever, either in heaven, with God, or in hell, with Satan, in a horrible place meant for those who reject the mercy of God through Christ.

Life is worthwhile if a man sets his affection on the things above. Only Christ Jesus offers peace and pardon with eternal bliss for those who turn from earthly pursuits and follow Him. Outside Him, there is crisis and hopelessness after life in this age. There is no satisfaction in sin. In the long run, pleasure quickly turns to poison, resulting in sorrow and regret. Let us prepare for the promised peaceful and endless eternity, guaranteed only through Christ.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Whatever your views about eternity, you will spend it somewhere.

TUESDAY SOUL DIET 22092026
*DECREASE IN*
*ORDER TO INCREASE*

*The* people of the world often believe that the way to gain respect and recognition is to promote themselves wherever they are found or go. Consequently, they inflate their own egos to win honor among others. Unfortunately, they have it wrong. The more you talk about yourself, the more you are reduced to nothing in the eyes of both God and man. But the Bible says something different. Solomon was influenced to write *Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips*.Proverbs 27:2
*Unfortunately*, the rat race of position seeking, self-pumping, and recognition commonly seen in the world is also found within Christendom. Sincerely speaking, this trait of the devil was present even among Christ’s disciples, who had the greatest opportunity to be under the tutelage of Jesus Christ—the humblest man on earth.
Surprisingly *At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?*. Matthew 18:1.
*Everyone* who desires to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven needs to learn from John the Baptist. He had no mentor, teacher, or trainer. Yet, he publicly stated that he was not the Christ, but a friend and forerunner of Jesus Christ. *John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. [28] Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him. [30] He must increase, but I must decrease*. John 3:27-28,30.
*Satan’s* inherited nature by Adam and Eve after the fall is the root cause of pride in the world today. Pride is prevalent everywhere in all spheres and human endeavours. The children rebel against their parents, the poor resent the rich, the completely illiterate look down on the educated, and employees act proud toward their bosses in the workplace. Surprisingly, mankind is even proud against God, their own Creator. Today, people are filled with pride because of an egotistical spirit reproduced in them by the devil. Unfortunately, this pride is a free ticket to hell. Solomon was stirred up and wrote—*Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall*. Proverbs 16:18. Pride famously associated with the fall of Lucifer, who was cast out of heaven due to his overbearing pride.
*Dear* reader, stop bragging boasting and stepping on all the people around you. Pride will take you nowhere in the world, and there will be no place for you also in heaven. The proud Lucifer, his admirers and imbibers of his ideology were driven away from heaven. Nebuchadnezzar spent seven years in the wilderness because of his pride before God. He attributed the glory and greatness of his kingdom to his own efforts and wisdom.
*Always* remember that there is only a step between us and death. Therefore, accord to God the glory due to Him. He has the unlimited power to kill or keep alive, build or break, promote or demote, wound or heal. The psalmist wrote, *Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south" (Psalm 75:5-6).You cannot be promoted by God if you are promoting yourself. Neither can you be increased if you are increasing yourself. John the Baptist said, He must increase, but I must decrease. He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all* (John 3:30-31) Jesus later declared John to be the greatest among all who were born of a woman: *Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist...*. (Matthew 11:11a). Therefore, if you want to be promoted, don’t promote yourself, lest you damn your soul. Hence, always do the following:
1. *Put* God first in your thoughts and in all that you do.
2. *Point* to God for your achievements in life as the Author of them.
3. *Proclaim* God’s faithfulness to all people in all situations of your life.
4. *Promote* God’s name above all other names in heaven and on the earth.
5. *Praise* God always for the gift of life and for all that He gave you freely to enjoy.
6. *Prepare* for heaven every day by handing over all that God has given you back to Him to show your love for Him above all else in the world.
May God help us always to rely upon Him for our elevation, promotion and protection in the world till the end, in Jesus' mighty name🙏🙏🙏

DOES JESUS CARE?

TEXT: ISAIAH 27:1-13

[1] In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

[2] In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine.

[3] I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.

[4] Fury is not in me: who would set the briers and thorns against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together.

[5] Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.

[6] He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.

[7] Hath he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?

[8] In measure, when it shooteth forth, thou wilt debate with it: he stayeth his rough wind in the day of the east wind.

[9] By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.

[10] Yet the defenced city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof.

[11] When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour.

[12] And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.

[13] And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

KEY VERSE: "I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day" (ISAIAH 27:3).

The hymn that shares the same title as today's topic was written by a Christian who may be rightly considered a graduate from the school of grief. The writer, Frank E. Graeff, a Methodist minister, experienced significant loss, including the death of his parents and three of his siblings. Consequently, he struggled with grief and doubt. He found solace as he turned to God's word and realised that God is touched with our grief.

In today's text, the Lord undertakes to keep, care for and defend His chosen ones. First, He assures that He will punish Leviathan, the piercing and crooked serpent that had terrorised them. And having the great threat out of the way, God's people would dwell peacefully, secured in His caring arms, night and day. Then the vineyard of God would be engulfed in a responsive song of victory.

The precious promise captured in our key verse, which primarily pertains to Israel, also applies to the church of God. Today, the church is God's favoured vineyard. She needs not seek the fence of thorns (the energy of the flesh) for the all-powerful Jehovah, her protector, has guaranteed her defence and fruitfulness at all seasons. Neither can she survive without His grace. It, however, takes obedient submission and faith for us to continue to enjoy this blessed peace with God. When He chastises His own, it is not for their destruction but for their good. Ultimate deliverance will, however, come when the rapturous trumpet shall sound and the Lord will draw out His people from all corners of the world unto Himself. Then shall the church of Christ finally rest from the accuser of the brethren and his human cohorts.

If you are part of God's vineyard, be content to know that the Almighty God is your protector, preserver and provider. He will take care of you in every situation - in the night of affliction as well as in the day of abundance. Only walk humbly and be at a peace with Him. If you are yet outside the umbrella of this divine providence, you need to turn to the Lord by repenting of your sins, placing your faith in Christ Jesus and taking Him as your personal Lord and Saviour.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God loves us more than we can ever love Him.

MONDAY SOUL DIET 21092026
*BIBLICAL ROADMAP*
*TO SUCCESS*

*Most* people in the world often think and operate according to the adage "all roads lead to Rome," meaning they can apply different methods to achieve the success they desire. But unfortunately, they are mistaken. The Bible does not approve of any step that deviates from God’s principles of success.
For instance, Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah, confederated and amalgamated with an ungodly king of Israel in business, but they never achieved the expected outcome. *And after this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly: [36] And he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish: and they made the ships in Ezion–geber. [37] Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the LORD hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish*. 2 Chronicles 20:35-37.
*On* this foregoing, Satan’s mobilized success, that is common today in all spheres of life should be jettisoned to avoid incurring the wrath of God. Today, people, falsify, cleverly manipulate, evade taxes, amass wealth fraudulently, engage in different sacrifices, and worse still shed innocent blood to achieve success in business, ministry and other areas of life. For example, Ahab and Jezebel his wife coveted Naboth’s vineyard and they killed him and took his possession from him. *They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people*. They promoted Naboth to create the opportunity to kill him and confiscate his property by false accusations. Unfortunately, they achieved their goal. (14] *Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, Naboth is stoned, and is dead. [16] And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it*. 1 Kings 21:12,14,16.
*On* the basis of the foregoing, Satan’s apparent success, which is common today in all spheres of life, should be jettisoned to avoid incurring the wrath of God. Today, people falsify documents, cleverly manipulate situations, evade taxes, amass wealth fraudulently, offer various sacrifices, and—worse still—shed innocent blood to achieve success in business, ministry, and other areas of life.
Solomon wrote *A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent*. Proverbs 28:20.
*Note* that promotion or success in whatever we do can only enjoy God's presence, backing, and support, if it is legitimate and biblical. *Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour's service without wages, and giveth him not for his work*. Jeremiah 22:13. Dear reader, do you operate your life, business and ministry to please God?
*Dear* reader, true and durable success, which is foundational to a breakthrough in all areas of life, begins with each letter of the word SUCCESS:
1. *Salvation* from sin and a relationship with God.
2. *Unbroken* fellowship with God for unending, all-around blessings from Him.
3. *Christ*-centered life, will, and plans.
4. *Consecrated* life to please God and do His will at all times.
5. *Emancipation* from all barriers to success.
6. *Sanctification* of the heart to resemble God, which is the greatest achievement of all men.
7. *Submission* to God’s will and word for durable riches.
*According* to the Bible, and specifically through the letters of the word "success," God made it crystal clear that there can be no true success without attending to His holy word. Joshua faced a monumental task that no human strength could accomplish. Hence, he was advised to look away from himself and the untrained army of Israel. *This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success*— Joshua 1:8. This means "good success" is victorious over:
1. *Sin* and spiritual instability
2. *Satanic* attacks and unlimited assaults
3. *Sorrow* and regrets
4. *Sickness* and untimely death
5. *Suffering* through lacks and poverty
*Yokefellows*, the roadmap to success in any business—whether physical, financial, spiritual, or ministerial leadership—requires the fear of God. The Bible dictates, *The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God" (2 Samuel 23:3). We are also told about another king in Israel who prospered as long as he depended upon God: *And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper*. (2 Chronicles 26:5).Therefore:
1. *Put* God first in all your pursuits to prosper.
2. *Pray* to God to establish your dependence on Him.
3. *Persevere* and do not give up while you are still waiting for success.
4. *Patiently* wait for God’s timing and manifestation.
5. *Part* ways with evildoers to enjoy God’s intervention.
6. *Pay* your God's dues to attract His blessings.
7. *Praise* God always to ignite His quick attention.
May God help all of us to apply these success principles so that we can all be blessed richly as we desire and according to His will, in Jesus' mighty name, amen🙏🙏🙏
