Week 2 Report: Understanding the Ethics of AI ⚖️

We just finished our second week of diving into AI Ethics, and if there’s one thing this small group has realized, it’s that there are rarely easy answers.

While the headlines are full of "magic" AI moments, we spent our sessions looking at the cracks in the system. We moved past the theory and looked at the real-world impact of AI misuse—from the sophisticated $25M deepfake corporate heists to the subtle ways algorithmic bias can mirror our own societal flaws.

The takeaway:
Being in a small class allows us to really pull these cases apart. We aren't just learning how the tech works; we’re learning how to be the "ethical anchors" for the tools we use every day. It’s not just about the code—it’s about the responsibility.
